The Driver (TV Series)
''The Driver'' is a British crime drama television serial, set in Manchester, which aired on BBC One between September 23 and October 7, 2014. Written by Danny Brocklehurst, the three-part drama series stars David Morrissey and was directed by Jamie Payne. The serial was announced by BBC One on 10 January 2014 after it was commissioned by heads of drama Charlotte Moore and Ben Stephenson. Filming began in January 2014. The series was co-produced by Highfield Pictures and Red Production Company. Crime Drama
Crime films, in the broadest sense, is a film genre inspired by and analogous to the crime fiction literary genre. Films of this genre generally involve various aspects of crime and its detection. Stylistically, the genre may overlap and combine with many other genres, such as Drama (film and television), drama or gangster film, but also include Comedy film, comedy, and, in turn, is divided into many sub-genres, such as Mystery film, mystery, suspense or Film noir, noir. BBC One
BBC One is a British free-to-air public broadcast television network owned and operated by the BBC. Alan Rothwell
Alan Rothwell (born 9 February 1937) is an English actor and television presenter. He played David Barlow in the ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street'' as a regular from 1960 to 1961, and again from 1963 to 1968. His other acting credits include playing Mike in ''Top Secret'' (1961–1962), a recurring role in '' Heartbeat'' (1994–1995), and various roles in ''Doctors'' (2004–2016).
