The Dream Of Andalusia
''The Dream of Andalusia'' (Spanish: ''El sueño de Andalucía'') is a 1951 French-Spanish musical film directed by Luis Lucia and starring Luis Mariano, Carmen Sevilla and Arlette Poirier.Mira p.280 A separate French film version ''Andalusia'' was also made. Plot Luis Mariano is Juanito, an itinerant botijero full of good humor who likes to sing and bullfighting. Carmen Sevilla is Dolores, the daughter of the owner of an inn who is fond of dancing. To prevent everything from being too excessive, the clever ending tells us that we are in a movie within a movie. Luis Lucia Mingarro (24 May 1914, in Valencia – 12 March 1984, in Madrid) was a Spanish film director and screenwriter. His father, Luis Lucia, was the Spanish minister of communications in 1935. He studied Law and was the attorney of CIFESA film studios. As director, he discovered child prodigies Marisol, Rocío Dúrcal and made them stars. He tried the same with Ana Belén but her film debut ''Zampo y yo'' was a flop. He was interred at Cementerio de Majadahonda, Majadahonda, Madrid, Spain. Enric Guitart i Matas (Barcelona, 1 May 1909 – 30 November 1999), better known as simply Enric Guitart, or Enrique Guitart in Spanish circles, was a Catalan and Spanish stage and film actor. She was the New York Times' "Critic's Pick" in 1965 for her performance in the film ''Aquella jóven de blanco'', also known in Spain as ''El Milagro de Lourdes'', for her performance in the role of the mother of 'Bernardita de Lourdes' ('St. Bernadette').
