The Dragon Family
''The Dragon Family'' () is a 1988 Hong Kong action film directed by Lau Kar-wing starring Andy Lau, Alan Tam and Max Mok. Plot Lung Ying (Ko Chun-hsiung), patriarch of the Lung family and leader of the four triad families have decided to stop dealing in drugs and go straight with legitimate business. While the No. 3 and No. 4 of the four families follow suit, White Wolf (Ku Feng), the No. 2 of the four families, continues his illegal dealings and Lung sends his hitman and adopted son, Allan (Alan Tam), to kill Wolf's underling, Golden Teeth Shing, who is in charge of Wolf's drug business, before sending Allan to Taiwan to hide from the police. When Wolf finds out what happened, he is enraged and calls his second in command, Tsui (Norman Chui). At this time, Kui (Ho Ka-kui), Wolf's underling and the accountant of the four families, pleads with Lung to spare him when HK$5 million was lost, but it turns out Kui was colluding with Tsui. Lau Kar-wing (born 1944) is a Martial Artist, Hong Kong people, Hong Kong Chinese martial arts, martial arts film director, Stage combat, action choreographer and actor. Background Born in the Xinhui District of Jiangmen in Guangdong, People's Republic of China, China, Lau Kar-wing was the fourth child of Lau Cham (), a martial arts master who studied under Lam Sai-wing, pupil of the legendary Han Chinese, Chinese folk hero, Wong Fei-hung. Lau began learning kung fu in his early teens, learning in secret at his father's school. When his older brother, Lau Kar-leung, discovered this, he began teaching Kar-wing himself. Lisa Chiao Chiao, often credited as Chiao Chiao (; born Chiao Li-na (焦莉娜); 6 March 1943), is a Taiwanese film actress best known for her work in Hong Kong cinema. Background Born in Chongqing, on 6 March 1943, Her family moved to Taiwan in 1949. She took up acting in 1961. In 1963, Chiao married Huang Tsung-hsing, the following year Huang left for Hong Kong to join the Shaw Brothers Studio while Chiao remained in Taiwan to continue acting. In 1966 Huang got into a car accident and Chiao moved to Hong Kong to look after him. There Chiao was invited to join the Shaw Brothers Studio, when she acted in the ''One-Armed Swordsman'' alongside Jimmy Wang Yu, which met with an unexpected success.
