The Dirty Clergy
The Dirty Clergy is a garage rock/pop band from Winfield, Alabama, whose music has been described as vintage rock, indie rock, and "indie rock pop'n'roll". Their music recalls '50s and early '60s rock 'n' roll, while also possessing hard edge. The band has been featured on numerous radio programs including Nights with Alice Cooper and Rodney on the Roq at KROQ-FM, KROQ Los Angeles. Most recently the band was featured in season 10 episodes of the Showtime (TV network), Showtime series Shameless (American TV series), Shameless. ''Truth Wars, Shake EP, Revival'' Formed in 2009 in Winfield, Alabama the musical project consists of Brian Manasco, Ky Carter, and Joshua Pope. The band started as a two piece folk band with Manasco and Tyler Evans. It wasn't until July 2010 when the full band formed, with its current style. Winfield, Alabama
Winfield is a city in Marion and Fayette counties in the U.S. state of Alabama. The population was 4,845 at the 2020 census, the second largest city in Marion County. History Winfield is a small city situated in northwest Alabama, east of the Mississippi state line. It lies in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain range which stretches from the deep South all the way to Canada. Long before the earliest settlers arrived, native tribes hunted in the forest and fished in the streams of the region. This area was once the domain of the Chickasaw people. Although there were no known Native settlements within the county, several sites were maintained as hunting camps. The site was originally known simply as Luxapallila, after the adjacent creek. Later, when settlers began to arrive in greater force, they called their community "Needmore".
