Priory Group
The Priory Group is a provider of mental health care facilities in the United Kingdom. The group operates at more than 500 sites with over 7,000 beds. Its flagship hospital is the Priory Hospital, Roehampton, which is best known for treating celebrities particularly for drug addiction. The Priory Group also manages schools, some for students with autism spectrum disorders through Priory Education and Children’s Services. Goddards Green, West Sussex
Goddards Green (Goddards' Green on Ordnance Survey maps) is a hamlet in the Mid Sussex District of West Sussex, England. It is in the civil parish of Hurstpierpoint and Sayers Common, and lies just off the A2300 road 1.7 miles (2.8 km) west of Burgess Hill. The hamlet consists of the Sportsman Inn, a few cottages, a water treatment works, a sawmill and a timber depot. The hamlet has become considerably quieter since the building of the A2300 as the roads through the hamlet were used by traffic taking shortcuts from the A23 to Burgess Hill. Today only the north–south Cuckfield–Hurstpierpoint road is operational. Etymology The root ''god'' may link the name to the town of Godstone in Surrey, with which it was connected via one of the old Roman roads. West Sussex
West Sussex is a county in South East England on the English Channel coast. The ceremonial county comprises the shire districts of Adur, Arun, Chichester, Horsham, and Mid Sussex, and the boroughs of Crawley and Worthing. George Thomas Hine
George Thomas Hine FRIBA (1842–25 April 1916) was an English architect. His prolific output included new county asylums for Hertfordshire, Lincolnshire, Surrey, East Sussex and Worcestershire, as well as extensive additions to many others. Biography Son of Thomas Chambers Hine of Nottingham, with whom he studied from 1858, and was in partnership from 1867 to 1891. He married in 1870 and had two children, Dr. Thomas Guy Macaulay Hine, and Muriel Hine the novelist. Hine specialised in asylum architecture, and his paper to the RIBA in 1901 still provides a valuable review of asylum design and planning. In 1887, after winning the competition for the enormous new LCC (London County Council) asylum at Claybury, Essex, he established his practise in London.
