The Deep Eynde
The Deep Eynde is a death rock/punk band from Los Angeles, California. Most known for their past theatrical live performances (which included colored plastic wrap outfits, real blood, fake abortions, live insects, worms, and an octopus suit) the band has grown in their style to encompass punk, gothic, death rock, psychobilly, and rock and roll. The band has since been an influence for the second wave of Gothic Bands in the United States. History The Deep Eynde roughly began in 1989 by Fate Fatal ( A Million Machines), after an abrupt departure from industrial band Kittens for Christian. TDE was originally three members, Fatal on vocals, Reverend Ryk on bass and Robert Lockerbee on Guitar, however after a year, that line-up changed to Killjo Zapata on Guitar, Oren Karpovsky on Bass, and Matt Callonna on drums. Bauhaus are an English rock band formed in Northampton in 1978. Known for their dark image and gloomy sound, Bauhaus are best known as one of the pioneers of gothic rock, although they mixed many genres, including dub, glam rock, psychedelia, and funk. Duane Thomas Peters (born June 12, 1961) is a punk rock singer/songwriter and professional skateboarder. Active since 1975, he is probably best known as the singer in the California punk rock band U.S. Bombs, which formed in 1993. Biography Peters is credited for popularizing, or in his words "inventing" many tricks, such as the "acid drop" into a pool/bowl, the "layback grind", the "Indy air", the "Sweeper", the "backside layback grind revert", the "fakie hang-up" (a.k.a. "Disaster"), the "invert revert", the "fakie thruster", and the "loop of death", a full 360-degree rotation in a specially designed loop. INSAINTS
The Insaints were an American punk rock group from Modesto and later San Francisco, California, United States, fronted by controversial vocalist Marian Anderson from 1988-1994. She was noted for her powerful, sexually charged and provocative live performances which frequently included on-stage nudity and sex acts. The Insaints made Bay Area headlines when Anderson was arrested for lewd conduct after a performance at 924 Gilman Street in Berkeley, California. The charges were eventually dropped after a year long legal battle, but the band broke up in 1994. In 2001, Anderson died of a heroin overdose at the age of 33. In 2005, the group reformed under the same name with Eva Von Slut as its new vocalist.
