The Dawning Of A New Age
''The Dawning of a New Age'' is a fantasy novel set in the Dragonlance campaign setting of the '' Dungeons & Dragons'' fantasy role-playing game. The novel was written by Jean Rabe and based on characters and settings from Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman's book ''Dragons of Summer Flame'' (1995). Published in 1996, it is the first volume of a three-part series based on the aftermath of the Chaos War. Plot summary In the final moments of the Chaos War, Palin Majere descends into the Abyss to fight Chaos and defeats him with help of his future wife, Usha Majere, and other allies. Due to Chaos’ defeat, all the powerful magic on Krynn has disappeared as the Gods took it with them. Jean Rabe
Jean Rabe is an American journalist, editor, gamer and writer of fantasy and mystery. After a career as a newspaper reporter, she was employed by TSR, Inc. for several years as head of the Role Playing Game Association and editor of the ''Polyhedron'' magazine. Rabe began a career as a novelist for TSR and Wizards of the Coast, and over the last 30 years has produced over three dozen books and scores of short stories, at first in the genres of game-related fantasy and science fiction and later as an author of mystery novels. Rabe wrote game accessories and novels for the ''Dungeons & Dragons'' fantasy worlds of ''Greyhawk'', ''Forgotten Realms'' and ''Dragonlance'', and contributed to West End Games' '' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game'' and FASA's ''BattleTech'' product lines. Kitiara Uth Matar
Kitiara Uth Matar is a fictional character appearing in the Dragonlance campaign setting created by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. She is the daughter of a disgraced Solamnic Knight named Gregor Uth Matar and his first wife, Rosamun. She is also the half-sister of both Raistlin and Caramon Majere. Character development The novel '' Darkness and Light'' details "the travels of Kitiara and Sturm before the meeting at the Inn of the Last Home at the beginning of Dragonlance Chronicles. Sturm sets off to find news of his father; Kit comes along for the adventure. Along the way, they stumble upon a flying vessel piloted by 12 gnomes who offer them a ride to Solamnia, but the group ends up on Lunitari during a war. Eventually escaping to Krynn, Sturm and Kitiara admit their attraction for each other." The ''Dragonlance Chronicles'' is a trilogy of fantasy novels written by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, which take place in the Dragonlance setting. This series is the first set of Dragonlance novels, and is followed by the '' Dragonlance Legends'' series. Caramon Majere (326 AC - 38 SC) is a fictional character from the Dragonlance books. He is depicted as a fighter and is one of the main characters in Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman's first Dragonlance trilogy, the ''Dragonlance Chronicles''. Flint Fireforge is a fictional Dwarf (Dungeons & Dragons), dwarf character appearing in the Dragonlance series of books. The dwarf Flint Fireforge is one of the six Heroes of the Lance. He is the second of thirteen children. He was born and lived in (for a time) the village of Hillhome. His ancient ancestor was Reghar Fireforge, a renowned dwarf.
