The Current (song)
"The Current" is a song by Blue Man Group, released as the first single from their 2003 concept album, '' The Complex''. The song features the guest vocals of Gavin Rossdale of Bush, and was featured in the film, '' Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines''. Song meaning The song deals with urban and occupational isolation, the two key themes from the album. The isolation theme is furthered by the setting, which takes place in the underground portion of the urban complex—the location of the phone lines, electrical wires, and Internet connections. According to the Blue Man Group themselves, "We wanted to capture the modern paradox of having access to millions of people through electric current but still being cut off from any real human contact." The song might then be assumed to be about how technology is moving the world forward whilst it moves people backwards. Promo Another promo CD was released, in a cardboard slide case. Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Nick Stahl, Claire Danes, and Kristanna Loken, it is the third installment in the ''Terminator'' franchise and a sequel to '' Terminator 2: Judgment Day'' (1991). In its plot, the malevolent artificial intelligence Skynet sends a T-X (Loken)—a highly advanced Terminator—back in time to ensure the rise of machines by killing top members of the future human resistance as John Connor's (Stahl) location is unknown. While ''Terminator'' creator James Cameron was interested in directing the third film, he ultimately had no involvement with ''Terminator 3''. Andrew G. Late Late Show With Craig Kilborn
''The Late Late Show'' is an American late-night television talk and variety comedy show on CBS. It first aired in January 1995, with host Tom Snyder, who was followed by Craig Kilborn, Craig Ferguson, and current host James Corden. The show originates from Television City in Los Angeles. Format The show differed from most late-night talk shows during its first two decades on air in that it did not use a house band or an in-studio announcer. The traditional opening monologue also tended to be different from that of other late night shows tending to avoid jokes with punch lines during Snyder and Ferguson's tenures in favor of a short conversational introduction when Snyder was host and a cold opening featuring either a musical parody, audience interaction, a short sketch or interaction between Ferguson and Geoff Peterson followed by an anecdotal stream of consciousness introduction during most of Ferguson's years. While Craig Kilborn opened with a monologue it tended to be shorte ...

The Complex Rock Tour Live
''The Complex Rock Tour Live'' is a live DVD by Blue Man Group in support of their album, '' The Complex'' with footage from their shows in Dallas. It features almost all of the songs from that album, one song ("Drumbone") from their older album, ''Audio'', and a cover of The Who song "Baba O'Riley". The DVD also has three music videos on it: "Sing Along", "The Current", and "Exhibit 13". Side B of the album has three tracks from ''The Complex'' in 5.1 surround sound, "Above", "Your Attention", and "Sing Along". Production Filming took place at NextStage at Grand Prairie which is in Dallas, Texas. Some additional footage was taken in Minneapolis. The song titles menu on the DVD spells the name of the song on track 13 as "Baba O'Reilly". Blue Man Group jokingly (and incorrectly) asserts that this alternate spelling is Pete Townshend's intended spelling and attributes the spelling "Baba O'Riley" to a transcription error in the artwork for the album ''Who's Next'' by The Who. Concept Album
A concept album is an album whose tracks hold a larger purpose or meaning collectively than they do individually. This is typically achieved through a single central narrative or theme, which can be instrumental, compositional, or lyrical. Sometimes the term is applied to albums considered to be of "uniform excellence" rather than an LP with an explicit musical or lyrical motif. There is no consensus among music critics as to the specific criteria for what a "concept album" is. The format originates with folk singer Woody Guthrie's ''Dust Bowl Ballads'' (1940) and was subsequently popularized by traditional pop/jazz singer Frank Sinatra's 1940s–50s string of albums, although the term is more often associated with rock music. In the 1960s several well-regarded concept albums were released by various rock bands, which eventually led to the invention of progressive rock and rock opera. Since then, many concept albums have been released across numerous musical genres. Definiti ...
