''South Park'' was first released on home video in the United States on DVD and VHS by Rhino Home Video (subsidiary of Warner Music Group) in 1998, but these releases soon went out of print. They were then released in Europe starting in the year 2000. They were later re-released in the United States, starting in 2002. Paramount Home Entertainment (a sister company to Comedy Central) began releasing the seasons in Australia in October 2007. Each of the box sets for the first 16 seasons has three discs, reduced to two discs starting with season 17. This article contains information on these season sets. The tenth season of '' South Park'', an American animated television series created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, began airing on March 22, 2006. The tenth season concluded after 14 episodes on November 15, 2006. This is the last season featuring Isaac Hayes (the voice of Chef) as Hayes quit the show following the backlash behind season nine's "Trapped in the Closet" episode. This season also had a minor controversy when the Halloween episode " Hell on Earth 2006" depicted ''The Crocodile Hunter's'' Steve Irwin with a stingray lodged in his chest getting thrown out of Satan's Halloween party for not being in costume. The season lampooned many events and cultural institutions such as the Trump administration, the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Netflix, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and themes of self-victimization. The season received mixed to positive reviews, with many reviewers praising the show's ability to remain relevant and choice of abandoning the linear narrative that dominated much of the previous season, despite many of the previous story elements being carried over into this season such as Cartman's relationship with Heidi.
