The Crunch (band)
The Crunch is an English/Swedish power pop group that is influenced by rock and punk. Career The Crunch started January 2013 after Sulo met the members when writing the book ''Keep Yourself Alive'' in 2012. The first single "Down by the border", was released on 7" vinyl and a YouTube video on 3 June 2013, recorded at Berry Street Studio. The next single "Fire Again" was released for download and a YouTube video 14 October 2013. The full album "Busy making noise" was released 28 of October (Legal Records) on CD, Vinyl and download. Third single, a duet with Sulo and Swedish singer Idde Schultz called "A Little Bit of Grace" was released as a YouTube video and download 9 of December 2013 . The first gig the band did was at The Garage in London on 5 June 2013. 2015 the band's second album "Brand New Brand" was released, funded through Music Pledge and distributed through Cargo Records. Sulo (singer)
Sören "Sulo" Karlsson (born 17 September 1969) is a Swedish vocalist and songwriter, most known for being the frontman of the rock band The Diamond Dogs. In 2013, he started the English power pop band The Crunch, together with Dave Tregunna on bass (from Sham 69 and The Lords of the New Church), Mick Geggus on guitar (from Cockney Rejects), Swedish Idde Schultz (Docenterna) and Terry Chimes on drums (original member of The Clash also played with Generation X and Black Sabbath). Career Sulo, who was born in Katrineholm, Sweden, co-founded The Diamond Dogs in Katrineholm along with Anders Lindström, throughout the years the band's line up has changed several time and Lindström left the band in 1996 to join The Hellacopters. Idde Schultz, ''Eva Ann-Ida Schultz'', (born 1 September 1963) is a Swedish female singer and guitarist. Terry Chimes
Terence Chimes (born 5 July 1956, Stepney, London, England) is an English musician, best known as the original drummer of punk rock group The Clash. He played with them from July 1976 to November 1976, January 1977 to April 1977, and again from May 1982 to February 1983 both preceding and succeeding his replacement Topper Headon. He also drummed for Generation X from 1980-1981, Hanoi Rocks in 1985, and Black Sabbath from 1987 to 1988. In 2003, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Clash. Career The Clash Terry Chimes met Mick Jones and Paul Simonon through the local music scene, and would team up with Joe Strummer and Keith Levene to form The Clash. Both Chimes and Levene subsequently left, but Chimes was brought back to record the band's self-titled debut album, ''The Clash''. On the album sleeve, he was credited as Tory Crimes.
