''The Crazy Family'' (Swedish: ''Snurriga familjen'') is a 1940 Swedish comedy film directed by Ivar Johansson and starring Thor Modéen, Elsa Carlsson and Åke Söderblom.Qvist & Von Bagh p.93 It was shot at the Råsunda Studios in Stockholm. The film's sets were designed by the art director Arne Åkermark. It marked the film debut of the future star Viveca Lindfors. Elsa Viveca Torstensdotter Lindfors (December 29, 1920 – October 25, 1995) was a Swedish stage, film, and television actress. She won an Emmy Award and a Silver Bear for Best Actress. Biography Lindfors was born in Uppsala, Sweden, the daughter of Karin Emilia Therese (née Dymling) and Axel Torsten Lindfors. She trained at the Royal Dramatic Training Academy, Stockholm. John Botvid (12 September 1889 – 20 February 1964) was a Swedish actor and comedian. Biography John Botvid Börjesson was born at Gothenburg, Sweden. Botvid debuted as a film actor in 1917. Viran Rydkvist
Anna Elvira Oscaria Rydkvist (1 December 1879 – 10 July 1942) was a Swedish actress and theatre director. Born and brought up in Stockholm, she made her acting debut in 1897 at the Arena theatre. During her career, she appeared in numerous stage performances as well as 29 film productions. In 1915, she co-founded the in Gothenburg. Between 1922 and 1935, she ran the Lilla teatern, becoming one of the first women to run a theatre in Sweden. Life Viran Rydkvist was born on 1 December 1879 in Stockholm, Sweden. Carl Barcklind (1 June 1873 – 21 August 1945) was a Swedish stage actor, stage and film actor. Biography Carl Vilhelm Barcklind was born at Sala in Västmanland County, Sweden. He made his debut as an opera singer in 1907 at the Oscarsteatern. He was associated with Albert Ranft as an actor in operettas in his theaters 1898–1922.
