Cai Shangjun
Cai Shangjun () is a Chinese film director and screenwriter. Cai graduated from the Central Academy of Drama in 1992. Since then, his major work has been that of a professional screenwriter. Cai was part of the team, along with Zhang Yang, Diao Yi'nan, and Liu Fendou, that co-wrote the screenplays for two of Zhang's films: ''Spicy Love Soup'' (1997) and '' Shower'' (1999). Cai also cowrote a script for Zhang's '' Sunflower'' (2005). In 2007, Cai directed his first film, '' The Red Awn'', which won the FIPRESCI Prize at the 2007 Pusan International Film Festival. Huang Bo (; born August 26, 1974) is a Chinese actor, film director, singer and the current vice-chairman of China Film Association. Early life Huang Bo was born on August 26, 1974 in Jiuquan, Gansu, and raised in Qingdao, Shandong, although his hail originally from Lintao County, Gansu. Both of his parents worked as civil servants in the government. Before Huang became an actor, he was a bar singer, dance instructor, film dubber and factory owner. Yu Lik-wai (; born 12 August 1966), sometimes credited as Nelson Yu, is a Hong Kong cinematography, cinematographer, film director, and occasional film producer. Born in Hong Kong, Yu Lik-wai was educated at Belgium's INSAS (Institut National Superieur des Arts de Spectacle) where he graduated with a degree in cinematography in 1994. Yu has become a mainstay in both the cinemas of Cinema of China, China (where he is perhaps best known for his collaborations with director Jia Zhangke) and Cinema of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. Yu has served as director of photography for nearly all of Chinese director Jia Zhangke's films, and along with Jia, founded their own independent film production company, Xstream Pictures. 2017 Toronto International Film Festival
The 42nd annual Toronto International Film Festival was held from 7 to 17 September 2017. There were fourteen programmes, with the Vanguard and City to City programmes both being retired from previous years, with the total number of films down by 20% from the 2016 edition.
