Set in Colonial South Africa and Zimbabwe, the work follows the adventures of an eighteen-year-old girl who was born in South Africa to Irish parents. ''Dick Tracy's Dilemma'', released in the United Kingdom as ''Mark of the Claw'', is a 1947 American action film based on the 1930s comic-strip character of the same name created by Chester Gould. Ralph Byrd stars as Dick Tracy, reprising the role after Republic Pictures's 1937 ''Dick Tracy'' serial and its three sequels. Preceded by '' Dick Tracy vs. Cueball'', the film is the third installment of the ''Dick Tracy'' film series released by RKO Radio Pictures. The follow-up to ''Dick Tracy's Dilemma'' was '' Dick Tracy Meets Gruesome'' (1947), the fourth and last entry in the RKO series. Dick Tracy, the character next made the move to television. The Claw is a fictional supervillain character who first appeared in ''Silver Streak Comics'' #1 (December 1939), from Lev Gleason Publications and later ''Savage Dragon'' from Image Comics. He is "a grotesque sorceror bent on world conquest". Publishing history Created by Jack Cole (who would later create Plastic Man), the Claw first appeared as a monstrous supervillain in ''Silver Streak'' without any regular hero to oppose him. In issue #2, he offered to help Adolf Hitler conquer the world, in return for "half of Europe". He reappeared in #6; in #7 (January 1941), Lev Gleason's Daredevil went up against him for the first time. The Claw was then moved from ''Silver Streak'' to ''Daredevil Comics'', and there he stayed until issue #31 (July 1945), when he was apparently killed off. The Claw is an Intamin Gyro Swing located at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast, Australia. The ride opened in September 2004 after months of construction and advertising. History In April 2004, construction began on what was rumoured to be a ''Teen Market Thrill Ride'' to open later in the year. To aid in the construction, the northern end of Ocean Parade was closed off to the public forcing guests to detour through Nickelodeon Central to get to the other rides that area, including the Cyclone and the Wipeout. A few days before The Claw was officially announced on 22 July 2004, construction of the ride went vertical. The announcement detailed that the ride was going to be an Intamin Gyro Swing, a duplicate of Maelstrom at Drayton Manor in the United Kingdom. Jerry Reed Hubbard (March 20, 1937 – September 1, 2008) was an American singer, guitarist, composer, and songwriter as well as an actor who appeared in more than a dozen films. The University of South Florida athletic facilities are the stadiums and arenas the South Florida Bulls use for their home games and training. Jorge Luis Mendoza Cárdenas, commonly referred to by his alias La Garra ('The Claw'), is a Mexican suspected drug lord and high-ranking leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), a criminal group based in Jalisco. Security forces suspect that La Garra heads the drug trafficking operations for the CJNG in the United States under Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes (alias "El Mencho"), the top leader of the criminal group. Peter Clohessy
Peter Clohessy (born 22 March 1966) is an Irish former rugby union player, who played for Munster, Queensland Reds and Ireland. He played as a prop and was known by his fans as "The Claw". He played most of his career at tighthead prop but later switched to loosehead. Munster Clohessy made his Munster debut against Ulster in 1987. He was part of the Munster team that lost 9-8 to Northampton Saints in the 2000 Heineken Cup Final, and he was again on the losing side when Munster lost 15-9 to Leicester Tigers in the 2002 Final. This was also Clohessy's last game for Munster, as he retired at the end of the 2001–02 season.
