''The Chess Hotel'' is the third full-length album from American rock band The Elms. The album was released May 2, 2006, on Universal South Records. The album was co-produced by The Elms and David Bianco and marked a stylistic shift in the band's sound towards a heavier, sparse blues-infused sound. Reviews of the album were favorable, and critics likened the album's sound to The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and The White Stripes. The Elms (band)
The Elms were an American rock and roll band known for their breed of rootsy, blues-based rock, with the essence of the music of the 60s and 70s. Although the band had been in existence since 2000, 2001 saw the release of their first full-length album, with the first musical contribution from Thomas Daugherty on guitar. Thus, 2001 is widely considered the bands' first fully functional year in existence. Some members reside in the southern Indiana city of Seymour, Indiana. They have drawn stylistic comparisons to The Black Crowes, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, The Kinks, and The Beatles. They released their major-label debut album, ''The Chess Hotel'', on May 2, 2006. The band's final album, '' The Great American Midrange'', was released on September 15, 2009. Universal South Records
Show Dog Nashville is an American independent record label specializing in country music artists. It was founded in 2005 by singer Toby Keith. It was later merged with Universal South Records into Show Dog-Universal Music in December 2009 until it was re-activated in late 2015. Currently, it is distributed by Thirty Tigers. History Universal South Records was started in 2001 under Universal Music Group by record producers Tony Brown (record producer), Tony Brown and Tim DuBois. The label specialized in country music artists, including Joe Nichols, Randy Houser, Phil Vassar and Marty Stuart, as well as alternative country acts Shooter Jennings and Cross Canadian Ragweed. The Rolling Stones

Led Zeppelin

The White Stripes
The White Stripes were an American rock duo from Detroit formed in 1997. The group consisted of Jack White (songwriter, vocals, guitar, piano, and mandolin) and Meg White (drums and vocals). After releasing several singles and three albums within the Detroit music scene, the White Stripes rose to prominence in 2002 as part of the garage rock revival scene.
