Oscar Whitbread
Oscar Ralph Whitbread (26 November 1929 – 16 May 2016) was an English-Australian producer who worked extensively in television. He moved to Australia in the late 1940s. Whitbread started his career at the ABC in 1956, where he served as the Head of Drama, before switching to the same position with the Seven Network. He was responsible for numerous successful series including '' Bellbird'', ''The Flying Doctors'' and the miniseries ''Power Without Glory''. Whitbread was the senior executive producer at Crawford Productions and also worked in England for the BBC, Thames Television, Granada Television and London Weekend Television. During the 1970s, he worked as a lecturer in theatre media studies, at Charles Sturt University, Bathurst, New South Wales. Personal life Whitbread was married to Corinne Kerby. Michael Duffield
Michael Duffield (1915 – June 1986) was an English-born character actor who worked in Australia for many decades. He was nominated for the 1979 AACTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his role in ''The Last of the Knucklemen'', a role he was reprising from the original stage production. Duffield was also a prominent theatre actor, starting from 1950, with numerous career characters with the Melbourne Theatre Company, he won awards in 1962 for his performance on stage in ''The Caretaker'' and also was notable for playing. Winston Churchill in the production "The Soldiers". Whilst on television he appeared in numerous televised live plays. He died in June 1986, aged 71 and was survived by a wife and three children. Dennis Hans Olsen AM (born 28 February 1938) is an Australian singer, actor, director and pianist. His performances include opera, musical theatre, cabaret, radio, television and film. He is best known as an exponent of "patter" roles in Gilbert and Sullivan operas and his performances of Noël Coward songs. At first trained as a pianist, Olsen soon switched to acting, beginning his career with Australian theatre companies in the 1960s. After success with Opera Australia, Olsen briefly joined the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company in England. He returned to Australia in 1971, playing in theatre as well as Gilbert and Sullivan over the next four decades.
