John Ireland (actor)
John Benjamin Ireland (January 30, 1914 – March 21, 1992) was a Canadian actor. He was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in ''All the King's Men'' (1949), making him the first Vancouver-born actor to receive an Oscar nomination. Ireland was a supporting actor in several Western films such as '' My Darling Clementine'' (1946), '' Red River'' (1948), ''Vengeance Valley'' (1951), and ''Gunfight at the O.K. Corral'' (1957). Max Varnel (21 March 1925 – 15 January 1996) was a French-born Australian film and television director who worked primarily in the United Kingdom and Australia. Biography Born Max Le Bozec in Paris, France, he was the son of the film director Marcel Varnel. John Moxey
John Llewellyn Moxey (26 February 1925 – 29 April 2019) was an Argentinian-born British film and television director. He was known for directing the horror film '' The City of the Dead'' (also known as ''Horror Hotel'', 1960) and directing episodes of ''The Saint'', '' Mission: Impossible'', ''Magnum, P.I.'', and ''Murder, She Wrote''. He was sometimes credited as John L. Moxey or John Moxey. Life and career Moxey was born in Argentina in 1925. His family operated a coal and steel business out of South America at the time. He attended Rose Hill School, Banstead, Ottershaw College, Bradfield College, and the Royal Military College, Sandhurst. Reginald Albert Saltmarsh, known by the stage name Reginald Marsh (17 September 1926 – 9 February 2001), was an English actor who is best remembered for supporting roles in many British sitcoms from the 1970s onwards. Early life and career Marsh was born in London in 1926 and he grew up on the Sussex coast at Worthing. After he left school he worked in a bank. After realising how serious he was about acting, his father introduced him to a retired actress, who introduced him to an agent who got his first acting role, at the age of 16, as a juvenile in ''Eden End'' by J.B. Colin Tapley
Colin Edward Livingstone Tapley (7 May 1909 – 1 December 1995) was a New Zealand actor in both American and British films. Born in New Zealand, he served in the Royal Air Force and an expedition to Antarctica before winning a Paramount Pictures talent contest and moving to Hollywood. He acted in a number of films before moving to Britain during the Second World War as a flight controller with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He returned briefly to New Zealand before returning once again to Britain to renew his acting career.
