Thorleif Reiss
Thorleif Dymling Reiss (May 22, 1898 – April 14, 1988) was a Norwegian actor. Career Reiss made his debut at the National Theater in Oslo in 1918. From 1931 to 1939, he was employed at the Carl Johan Theater, where he also served as co-director. From 1942 onward he was employed at the New Theater. Family Reiss was the son of the lawyer, composer, and musicologist Georg Reiss and Elisabeth Dymling (1861–1920). He was the brother of the pianist and cabaret performer Elisabeth Reiss and the father of the actor Helge Reiss. He played opposite his son in the 1970 crime comedy ''Skulle det dukke opp flere lik er det bare å ringe''. His first marriage was in 1920 to Esther Colbjørnsen Dahl (1896–1941). After her death, he remarried in 1944 to Gunborg Kristiane Skistad (1911–2001). Rolf Just Nilsen (31 August 1931 – 9 May 1981) was a Norwegian singer and actor. He was particularly known for his voice imitations. He worked for the theatres Studioteatret, Chat Noir, Edderkoppen Theatre, Oslo Nye Teater and Det Norske Teatret, and for radio and television. Personal life Just Nilsen was born in Oslo as the son of Bjarne Olav Just Nilsen and Magnhild Herland. He was a nephew of actor Leif Juster. He was married to Arna Aukland from 1954. He died in Oslo in 1981 during a show performance, only 49 years old. Career Just Nilsen made his stage debut in 1947 at Studioteatret in the play ''Vintersolverv''. Egil Hjorth-Jenssen (18 April 1893 – 8 November 1969) was a Norwegian actor and theatre director, playwright, children's writer and translator. Personal life Hjorth-Jenssen was born in Fredrikshald as a son of editor Gunnar Olaves Jenssen (1843–1924) and Anna Marie Cecilie Hjorth (1867–1929), and married Rachel Råby (1900–1958) in 1921. Career He made his stage debut in 1914 at Stavanger Teater, From 1916 to 1919 he worked at Trondhjems Teater, then Chat Noir from 1919 to 1921 and Trondhjems Teater from 1921 to 1925. Olafr Havrevold (26 May 1895 – 11 July 1972) was a Norwegian engineer and actor. Biography He was born at Christiania (now Oslo), Norway. He was the son of Lauritz Paulsen Havrevold (1859–1940) and Marta Malena Nielsen (1873–1927). He was a brother of writer Finn Havrevold (1905–1988) and psychiatrist Odd Havrevold (1900–1991). After graduating artium 1914 and a year of study in liberal arts at the University of Washington in Seattle, he graduated as a chemistry engineer at Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH) in Trondheim during 1920. Odd Horn Grythe (14 November 1918 – 7 February 1995) was a Norwegian radio and television personality. Personal life He was born in Lillehammer as a son of a travelling salesman. He had four older siblings. From 1955 to 1958 he was married to Kirsten Sørlie. In March 1962 he married Ada Haug. With his first wife he had the daughter Hilde Grythe, who married Terje Tønnesen. Career He finished his secondary education in his hometown, and then moved to Oslo. He worked different office jobs, and also for a short time at Centralteatret. During the Second World War he was a part of the Norwegian resistance movement in Lillehammer. Bonne Gauguin
Bonne Gauguin (born Ingeborg Kathrine Winther-Hjelm Jelstrup, November 28, 1910 – July 12, 1989) was a Norwegian actress and dance instructor. Gauguin trained as a dance teacher in Germany. In the 1930s she moved to Trondheim and made her debut at the Trøndelag Theater. In 1941 she married the visual artist Paul René Gauguin, who was a set designer at the Unge Trøndelag Theater from 1939 to 1945. In 1946 they moved to Oslo, where she got a job at the Studio Theater. The couple divorced before 1950. When the Studio Theater closed down, she started working at the National Traveling Theater, and she also worked at the People's Theater and to a lesser extent at the Norwegian Theater, NRK's Radio Theater and Television Theater, and in Norwegian films.
