The Chamanas
The Chamanas are a Mexican indie pop band. The band was started by Manuel Calderon and Hector Carreon. Paulina Reza, and Alejandro Bustillos later joined the band. The group's music has Central and South American influences. The band's name combines English and Spanish terms, and refers to Shamanism. Career The Chamanas signed with independent record labels, Casete Mexico and Nacional Records, in the beginning of 2015 and later released their first EP ''Fronterizo''. Their first album, ''Once Once'', which was recorded at Sonic Ranch, followed in August of the same year. ''Once Once'' won Best Pop Album at the Independent Music Awards (IMAS) in Mexico. The Chamanas opened for a number of bands such as Zoe, Vetusta Morla, Enjambre, Jarabe de Palo and Nina Diaz. In 2016 The Chamanas wernominatedas Best New Artist at the Latin Grammys. Ciudad Juárez ( ; ''Juarez City''. ) is the most populous city in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. South By Southwest
South by Southwest, abbreviated as SXSW and colloquially referred to as South By, is an annual conglomeration of parallel film, interactive media, and music festivals and Convention (meeting), conferences organized jointly that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas, United States. It began in 1987 and has continued to grow in both scope and size every year. In 2017, the conference lasted for 10 days with the interactive track lasting for five days, music for seven days, and film for nine days. There was no in-person event in 2020 and 2021 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic in Austin, Texas; both years, there was a smaller online event instead. Los Terrícolas was a Venezuelan pop music group. Huastec People
The Huastec or Téenek (contraction of ''Te' Inik'', "people from here"; also known as Huaxtec, Wastek or Huastecos) are an indigenous people of Mexico, living in the La Huasteca region including the states of Hidalgo, Veracruz, San Luis Potosí and Tamaulipas concentrated along the route of the Pánuco River and along the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. Los Ángeles Negros ( en, The Black Angels) are a Chilean pop ballad band formed in San Carlos de Chile in 1968. The band's best-known line-up consisted of singer Germaín de la Fuente, guitarist Mario Gutiérrez, keyboardist Jorge González, bassist Miguel Ángel "Nano" Concha, and drummer Luis Ortiz.
