Dave Matthews Band (also known by the initials DMB) is an American rock band formed in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 1991. The band's founding members were singer-songwriter and guitarist Dave Matthews, bassist Stefan Lessard, drummer and backing vocalist Carter Beauford, violinist and backing vocalist Boyd Tinsley, and saxophonist LeRoi Moore. As of 2022, Matthews, Lessard, and Beauford are the only remaining founding members still performing with the band. Anyone Seen The Bridge?
"Anyone Seen the Bridge?" (abbreviated as "ASTB") is an instrumental by the Dave Matthews Band, usually played as segue between two songs during a concert. It is an instrumental jam played by the entire band, with scat singing by Dave Matthews. Performances of the tune today typically are heard between "So Much to Say" and " Too Much," and last around a minute and a half. The tune has been very popular during concerts since its debut, and has currently been played live over 400 times. The tune originated from a funky jam performed by the band with guest Mike Doughty from Soul Coughing, immediately after "So Much to Say" at a concert on October 3, 1996. The band liked the jam, and it was performed the following night with Doughty after "So Much to Say," and lasted almost seven minutes. Warren Haynes
Warren Haynes (born April 6, 1960) is an American musician, singer and songwriter. He is best known for his work as longtime guitarist with the Allman Brothers Band and as founding member of the jam band Gov't Mule. Early in his career he was a guitarist for David Allan Coe and The Dickey Betts Band. Haynes also is known for his associations with the surviving members of the Grateful Dead, including touring with Phil Lesh and Friends and the Dead. In addition, Haynes founded and manages Evil Teen Records. Cortez The Killer
"Cortez the Killer" is a song by Canadian singer-songwriter Neil Young from his 1975 album, '' Zuma''. It was recorded with the band Crazy Horse. It has since been ranked No. 39 on '' Guitar World's'' 100 Greatest Guitar Solos and No. 329 on '' Rolling Stone's'' list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. Young has stated in concert that he wrote the song while studying history in high school in Winnipeg. Warehouse is a song by Dave Matthews Band which was released on their first studio album, ''Under the Table and Dreaming''. A live performance of the song was also released on their early EP ''Recently''. This song ranks near the top of the list in terms of all time fan favorites. It’s been played since the very beginning and has remained a highlight of nearly every show in which it is played. Versions In the early days of 92-93, the song frequently featured a "Shortnin' Bread" interpolation towards the end of the song. After the summer of 1994, the last verse evolved beyond the mere repetition of "That's my blood down there".
