''The Campaign'' is the second full-length album by American metal band Affiance. The album was relatively well received. Vocalist Dennis Tvrdik stated, "The vast majority of people like it. It rubbed some people the wrong way and to be honest, I’m glad it did. I don’t expect every person to agree with us or be our fan. There are a lot of people out there I don’t want at our shows because they are a part of the problem with the music scene. We want to be part of the solution." Affiance (band)
Affiance is an American metalcore band from Cleveland, Ohio, formed in 2007. They released one EP prior to their debut album '' No Secrets Revealed'', which was released on Bullet Tooth Records in December 2010. Vocalist Dennis Tvrdik sings of political and religious issues. History Formation and first EP (2007–2009) Affiance formed and released their first 6-track EP entitled '' Calm Before the Storm'' in late 2007. After minimal success with the EP, the band signed a deal with Bullet Tooth records to begin production of their debut album. HAWK (formerly This or The Apocalypse) is an American metalcore band from Lancaster, Pennsylvania that formed in 2005. History ''Monuments'' (2005–2009) In 2008 the band signed to European metal label Lifeforce Records, and released the album ''Monuments'' later that year. The band went on several tours throughout 2008 and 2009 with acts such as Kingston Falls, For Today, August Burns Red, A Skylit Drive, Sky Eats Airplane, and Greeley Estates across North America and Canada to promote Monuments. The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. In music performances, rhythm guitar is a technique and role that performs a combination of two functions: to provide all or part of the rhythmic pulse in conjunction with other instruments from the rhythm section (e.g., drum kit, bass guitar); and to provide all or part of the harmony, i.e. the chords from a song's chord progression, where a chord is a group of notes played together. Century (American Band)
Century was an American metalcore band formed in 2005 by multi-instrumentalist/ArmsBendBack guitarist Carson Slovak. Century was originally conceived as a solo project, but later evolved into a complete band. Slovak writes all of Century's music, and designs all of the artwork and merchandise. In 2005 the band signed a contract with Tribunal Records. On February 7, 2006, Century released its first studio album, '' Faith and Failure'' through Tribunal Records. This album saw Carson Slovak as guitarist and producer joined by Mike Guiliano (guitar), Huggie (bass) and Grant McFarland (drums). Memphis May Fire is an American metalcore band formed in Denton, Texas and currently signed to Rise Records. Metalcore
Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining instrumental qualities include heavy riffs and stop-start rhythm guitar playing, occasional blast beats, and double bass drumming.
