The Camp, Gloucestershire
The Camp is a hamlet in the south of Gloucestershire, approximately 10 miles south of Cheltenham and 5 miles north-east of Stroud. It is in the parish of Miserden, a village about 2 miles east of The Camp. The village clusters around two roads: Calf Way and Honeycombe Road. Calf Way is thought to be a Roman road, presumably named for the cattle driven along it. Honeycombe Road leads to Honeycombe Farm, and then on to Miserden Miserden is a village and civil parish in Stroud District, Gloucestershire, England, 4 miles north east of Stroud. St Albans
St Albans () is a cathedral city in Hertfordshire, England, east of Hemel Hempstead and west of Hatfield, Hertfordshire, Hatfield, north-west of London, south-west of Welwyn Garden City and south-east of Luton. St Albans was the first major town on the old Roman Britain, Roman road of Watling Street for travellers heading north and became the city of Verulamium. It is within the London commuter belt and the Greater London Built-up Area. Name St Albans takes its name from the first British saint, Saint Alban, Alban. Greenwater, California
Greenwater (formerly, Ramsey, The Camp, and Kunze) was an unincorporated community near Death Valley located in the eastern side of the Inyo County, California. It is now a deserted ghost town. Geography Greenwater is located north of Funeral Peak in the Funeral Mountains above southeastern Death Valley, at an elevation of 4288 feet (1307 m). It is now located within Death Valley National Park, north of Smith Mountain, and south of the Rand, California mining district ruins. History Greenwater was a mining town in the Mojave Desert that saw its rise and fall within the first decade of the 20th century. Greenwater's first records date back to the year 1904, these records stated that there were claims that Greenwater dated back to the 1880s however no solid evidence or records were found. ''The Camp'' (Arabic: ''المخيم'') is a 2013 Arabic language documentary film by Egyptian photographer, filmmaker and director Tamer Eissa, about the "Arab Spring Camp" attended by children of martyrs who fell in Gaza and children of martyrs of the Egyptian revolution. The children's camp took place in July 2012 for 2 weeks in two locations: in Cairo and in Nuebaa by the Red Sea. Through interviews of the organizers and of the children, and by following their activities in the camp, the documentary depicts the experience of the children in the camp during the two weeks, focusing on the personal stories of three of the children: Siraj, Rizk and Shahd. ''The Camp: A Musical Entertainment'' is a 1778 play by Richard Brinsley Sheridan, with assistance from John Burgoyne and David Garrick. The set designs were by Philip James de Loutherbourg. The play gently satirised the preparations of the British to organise home defences during the American War of Independence when an invasion of the British Isles by France, and later Spain, seemed imminent. It focuses on a military camp placed near Coxheath in Southern England. It premiered on 15 October 1778 at the Drury Lane Theatre. The play was produced at a time when a genuine sense of crisis swept the country following France's entry into the war which culminated in the failed Armada of 1779. Because of his death while working on the play, Garrick is sometimes said to be the only casualty of the French invasion. The play proved to be a hit.
