The Bronx Zoo (TV Series)
''The Bronx Zoo'' is an American drama television series that was directed by Allan Arkush and Paul Lynch that aired on NBC from March 19, 1987 to June 29, 1988. It lasted two seasons before cancelation. Plot Benjamin Harrison High School is set in the impoverished, unruly inner-city Bronx. Principal Joe Danzig (Edward Asner) does his best to maintain optimism, while dealing with the lack of motivation and direction of his staff. Ubu Productions
Ubu Productions, Inc., was an independent production company founded in 1982 by television producer Gary David Goldberg. Ubu's notable productions include ''Family Ties'' (1982–1989), '' Brooklyn Bridge'' (1991–1993), and ''Spin City'' (1996–2002). Ubu co-produced many of its shows with Paramount Television and in later years, DreamWorks Television. The company closed down in 2002. Mascot dog Ubu's mascot is Goldberg's dog Ubu Roi, a black labrador retriever which he had in college and subsequently traveled the world with. The closing tag for Ubu Productions is a photograph of Ubu Roi with a frisbee in his mouth, taken in the Tuileries Garden close to the Louvre Museum in Paris. Along with the picture is Goldberg himself saying "Sit, Ubu, sit! Good dog!", followed by the sound of a bark. Bruce Helford
Bruce Lewis Helford (born January 28, 1952) is an American television writer and producer. Career Helford was the co-creator of ''The Drew Carey Show''. He served as executive producer of the series for its entire run, from 1995 to 2004. Helford also served as executive producer and writer for ''Roseanne'' during season five of the series (1992–1993). He also created or co-created the series ''The Norm Show'', ''Wanda at Large'', '' Freddie'', ''George Lopez'', ''Nikki'', and '' Bless This House''.
