The Brink (2017 Film)
''The Brink'' is a 2017 Hong Kong action crime-thriller film directed by Jonathan Li and written by Lee Chun-fai. The film stars Zhang Jin, Shawn Yue, Janice Man and Wu Yue, with Gordon Lam making a special appearance. It was released in theaters on 23 November 2017. Premise Sai Gau is a reckless police officer who is dead set on tracking down Shing, a smuggler of black market gold. When he learns that Shing is going after a triad boss's underwater gold vault, Sai Gau takes to the high seas to hunt for his prey. Derek Tsang Kwok-cheung (; born 8 November 1979) is a Hong Kong film director and actor. The son of actor Eric Tsang, Tsang got his start in the Hong Kong film industry working for director Peter Chan Ho-Sun after graduating from University of Toronto Scarborough in 2001. He made his acting debut in '' Men Suddenly in Black'' (2003) and directorial debut with ''Lover's Discourse'' (2010), sharing the directing credit with Jimmy Wan Chi-man. Andy Hui Chi-on (born 12 August 1967) is a Hong Kong singer and actor. Hui is considered one of the most successful Hong Kong singers, with an extensive list of Cantonese and Mandarin hits to his credit. Early life Hui's mother is Vietnamese. is a Japanese martial artist and actor, best known for his work in Hong Kong action films. He holds dan ranks in Karate (7th degree), Judo (3rd degree), and Aikido (2nd degree). Biography Kurata was born and raised in Sakura-mura, Niihari District, Ibaraki (now part of Tsukuba). Kurata studied performing arts at Nihon University and Toei Theater School.
