The Bremer Institute of TAFE was a training provider in Queensland, Australia. It had six campuses, located at Bundamba, Goodna, Ipswich, Inala, Springfield and Boonah. The Bremer was one of Australia's Technical and Further Education (TAFE) Institutes. The Bremer won Large Training Provider of the Year in 2004 and 2006 at the Queensland Training Awards and went on to win the prestigious Large Training Provider of the Year at the Australian Training Awards in 2006. The Institute was merged with Southern Queensland Institute in 2013 and became TAFE Queensland South West. Bundamba is a suburb of Ipswich in the City of Ipswich, Queensland, Australia. In the Bundamba had a population of 6,514 people. Geography The Bremer River forms the western part of the suburb's northern boundary. The Warrego Highway enters the suburb at its north-eastern corner ( Riverview) and then forms the eastern part of the suburb's northern boundary before crossing the river to the north (Karalee). Goodna is a suburb on the eastern edge of the City of Ipswich in Queensland, Australia. In the , Goodna had a population of 10,461 people. Geography Goodna is from the Brisbane central business district, being just outside the Brisbane City Council area. Located as a centre point between Brisbane and Ipswich, it was designated by the Queensland Government in the SEQ Plan as a major activity centre, a transport oriented development centre and as an economic activity centre. The Brisbane River runs to the north of Goodna. Goodna Boat Ramp is one of the only boat ramps on the Brisbane River and is part of the Brisbane River Canoe Trail. TAFE Queensland South West was formed by a merger of the Southern Queensland Institute and The Bremer Institute of TAFE on 1 July 2013. It has 11 campus locations spread around the outer western suburbs of Brisbane, further out into regional south-west Queensland and partly into Wide Bay Burnett, covering an area approximately equal to the size of France. The process of consolidating TAFE Queensland South West and TAFE Queensland's five other regional registered training organisations (RTOs) began in 2017.
