''The Book of Sorcery'' is a supplement for fantasy role-playing games published by Little Soldier Games in 1977. Contents ''The Book of Sorcery'' is a supplement presenting rules for spell-casting and incantations for use with spells, as well as new artifacts and magic items. Publication history Little Soldier Games was founded in 1975 by Ed Konstant and David Perez. After an abortive attempt at a role-playing game based on J.R.R. Tolkien's '' The Lord of the Rings'' and an Arthurian role-playing game called ''Knights of the Round Table'', Konstant and Perez decided to supply third-party supplements for the new role-playing game '' Dungeons & Dragons''. Little Soldier Games was an American game company that produced role-playing games and game supplements. History In 1975, Ed Konstant and David Perez opened a game store in Rockville, Maryland called The Little Soldier. Konstant and Perez also founded publishing company Little Soldier Games to capitalize on a burgeoning interest in both J.R.R. Tolkien's '' The Lord of the Rings'', and the role-playing game '' Dungeons & Dragons'' that had just been published by TSR the previous year. Bob Charrette
Robert N. Charrette (born 1953) is an American graphic artist, game designer, sculptor and author. Charrette has authored more than a dozen novels. His gaming materials have received many Origins Awards. Charrette was inducted in the Origins Hall of Fame in 2003. His work is known for a clean, realistic style that invokes themes from Feudal Japan and Chanbara films and in particular, historical and fantastic representations of Samurai culture. In that year, the company published the wargame Vietnam which was reviewed in issue #4 of Strategy and Tactics (S&T) magazine.
