''The Book of Demons'' is a supplement published by Little Soldier Games in 1976 for fantasy role-playing games. Contents ''The Book of Demons'' is a supplement containing rules for demon conjuration, and includes descriptions for 85 demons. Publication history Little Soldier Games had been founded in 1975 by Ed Konstant and David Perez. After an abortive attempt at a role-playing game based on J.R.R. Tolkien's ''The Lord of the Rings'' and an Arthurian role-playing game called ''Knights of the Round Table (role-playing game), Knights of the Round Table'', Konstant and Perez decided to supply third-party supplements for the new role-playing game ''Dungeons & Dragons''. Little Soldier Games
Little Soldier Games was an American game company that produced role-playing games and game supplements. History In 1975, Ed Konstant and David Perez opened a game store in Rockville, Maryland called The Little Soldier. Konstant and Perez also founded publishing company Little Soldier Games to capitalize on a burgeoning interest in both J.R.R. Tolkien's '' The Lord of the Rings'', and the role-playing game '' Dungeons & Dragons'' that had just been published by TSR the previous year. Their first product was a fantasy wargame called ''The Ringbearer'', based on 'The 'Lord of the Rings''. Robert N. Charrette (born 1953) is an American graphic artist, game designer, sculptor and author. Charrette has authored more than a dozen novels. His gaming materials have received many Origins Awards. Charrette was inducted in the Origins Hall of Fame in 2003. His work is known for a clean, realistic style that invokes themes from Feudal Japan and Chanbara films and in particular, historical and fantastic representations of Samurai culture. Evil Hat Productions is a company that produces role-playing games and other tabletop games. Chief among them is the free indie RPG, ''Fate'', which has won numerous awards. History Fred Hicks had been working with Lydia Leong, Rob Donoghue, and others to run LARPs at AmberCon NorthWest starting in 1999, and came up with the name Evil Hat for themselves. Gamescience is an American game company that produces role-playing games and game supplements. History Gamescience Corp. was started by Phillip E. Orbanes in 1965. In that year, the company published the wargame Vietnam which was reviewed in issue #4 of Strategy and Tactics (S&T) magazine. In 1967 the company published another wargame which Mr. Orbanes designed called Confrontation, which was reviewed in S&T issue #6.
