Body Snatching
Body snatching is the illicit removal of corpses from graves, morgues, and other burial sites. Body snatching is distinct from the act of grave robbery as grave robbing does not explicitly involve the removal of the corpse, but rather theft from the burial site itself. The term 'body snatching' most commonly refers to the removal and sale of corpses primarily for the purpose of dissection or anatomy lectures in medical schools. The term was coined primarily in regard to cases in the United Kingdom and United States throughout the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. However, there have been cases of body snatching in many countries, with the first recorded case dating back to 1319 in Bologna, Italy. Those who practiced the act of body snatching and sale of corpses during this period were commonly referred to as resurrectionists or resurrection men. Resurrectionists in the United Kingdom, who often worked in teams and who primarily targeted more recently dug graves, would be hired in ord ...

The Bodysnatcher Collection
''Red Dwarf Remastered'' was an attempt in 1997 to bring the first three series of the BBC's cult sci-fi sitcom ''Red Dwarf'' up to date. Only Series I- III were remastered, although the BBC had commissioned for the remastering of Series IV and V as well. Doug Naylor decided to put the project on hold and wait for technology to catch up with their vision. Changes Some of the changes made for ''Red Dwarf Remastered'' included: *Replacement title sequences for Series I, II and III. These retained the initial image of Lister painting the outside of ''Red Dwarf'', but featured a new attempt to realise the original intention to pull out from a close-up of Lister to the entire ship in one uninterrupted shot. This was followed by a new fast-paced opening montage similar to tho ...

Bodysnatcher (Red Dwarf)
"Bodysnatcher" was a partly finished script that was written but unused for the first series of the BBC sci-fi sitcom ''Red Dwarf''. It was said to involve the now intangible Rimmer attempting to construct a body of his own using components of Lister's—such as hair. History "Bodysnatcher" was one of the scripts to be handed around during the interview process for the main casting, although at this point it was unnamed. This script allegedly caught the attention of Peter Ridsdale-Scott, the commissioner for BBC Manchester that he read on the train bound for BBC London. Alfred Molina and Alan Rickman, who were auditioning for Lister and Rimmer, performed their audition from this script. One of Cat's lines: I've eaten five times, I've slept six times, and I've made a lot of things mine. Tomorrow, I'm gonna see if I can have ''sex'' with something! was originally in this episode's script, but was moved to " Confidence and Paranoia" when the original script was dropped. ...

The Invasion (film)
''The Invasion'' is a 2007 American science fiction horror film directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel, written by David Kajganich, and starring Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig. Unhappy with the original cut of the film, the studio hired The Wachowskis for additional writing and James McTeigue to re-shoot some scenes. The plot follows a psychiatrist (Kidman) in Washington, D.C. who finds those around her turning into emotionless beings shortly after a Space Shuttle crashes to Earth, bringing with it mysterious alien spores. Development of the film began in 2004. Warner Bros. hired David Kajganich to write what was intended to be a relatively straight-forward remake of the 1956 film '' Invasion of the Body Snatchers'', but Kajganich amended the story to reflect contemporary times. Principal photography began in September 2005. Released on August 17, 2007, the film was a commercial failure and received primarily negative reviews from critics. ''The Invasion'' is the fourth film adaptat ...
