The Blue Room (EP)
''The Blue Room'' is the second EP released by British Rock music, rock band Coldplay and their first after signing with Parlophone in October 1999. Background The version of "Don't Panic" featured on this release and produced by Chris Allison is different from the one that appears on the band's later debut LP, ''Parachutes (Coldplay album), Parachutes''. The fourth track, "High Speed", also produced by Chris Allison made the cut for ''Parachutes'' and remained unchanged. The first track, "Bigger Stronger" and fifth track, "Such a Rush", are re-releases from the ''Safety (EP), Safety'' EP, and are the same on both EPs. "See You Soon" would later become a regular part of Coldplay's setlist during their A Rush of Blood to the Head Tour and it was featured in both the DVD and CD of Coldplay's ''Coldplay Live 2003, Live 2003'' album. ''The Singles 1999–2006'' is the second box set compilation by British rock band Coldplay. Released on 26 March 2007 by Parlophone in the United Kingdom and Capitol Records in the United States, it features '' The Blue Room'' (1999) and all singles from their early years until '' X&Y'' (2005). The latter were accompanied by their respective B-sides and pressed on 7" vinyl contained in sleeves with the original artwork. A press for "What If", a promotional radio single in selected countries, was included as well. Background Following the launching of Coldplay's third album, '' X&Y'' (2005), ''Billboard'' reported the band were working with producer Brian Eno for its successor and aiming for a late 2007 release. Don't Panic (Coldplay Song)
"Don't Panic" is a song by the British rock band Coldplay. Originally titled "Panic", the earliest known version of the song existed in 1998, performed live during the band's first gig in the same year. It had a different melody, and was included in the band's third EP, '' The Blue Room''. The track was reproduced by Coldplay and British producer Ken Nelson for the band's debut album, ''Parachutes''. Following their successful releases in 2000, Coldplay and their record label Parlophone thought there was enough exposure of the album in the United Kingdom. Martin Rossiter
Martin Rossiter (born 15 May 1970) is a Welsh singer, who was lead singer of the British indie band Gene from 1993 until their break-up in 2004. He released a solo album in 2012. Gene were a British rock band that rose to prominence in the mid-1990s.
