The Bill (series 6)
The sixth series of ''The Bill'', a British television drama, consisted of 104 episodes, broadcast between 2 January – 27 December 1990. The series was first released on DVD as part of the Collection 5 and Collection 6 DVD boxsets in Australia, made available on 9 April – 8 October 2008, respectively. The series was later reissued as two-half series boxsets in Australia, released on 7 March 2012. The above artwork is taken from the most recent Australian release. It features images of DC Tosh Lines and DI Frank Burnside. The original Collection box-sets contained sole images of PC Reg Hollis and DS Ted Roach. In the UK, the first nine episodes were released on DVD under the title Volume 7, on 2 September 2013. Geraldine Fitzgerald (British Actress)
Geraldine Fitzgerald is an Irish actress who has appeared in many stage shows and television programmes. Having appeared in minor roles in various shows, her first major television role was as Janet Slatt in Steven Moffat's school sitcom ''Chalk''. Two series were broadcast in 1997. In 2008 she contributed to the audio commentary for the DVD release of the first series. In March 2006, she joined the cast of the West End production of '' Mamma Mia!'' as Tanya after appearing in the international touring production of the show. Geoff McQueen
Geoffrey McQueen (24 July 1947 – 6 July 1994) was a British television screenwriter. He is best known for creating Thames Television's long-running police procedural ''The Bill'' and the popular comedy-dramas '' Give Us a Break'', '' Big Deal'' and '' Stay Lucky''. A carpenter and joiner by trade he worked abroad for many years before he began writing in 1978. His first success was in 1982 when an episode of ''The Gentle Touch'' he had written was broadcast. He wrote for other shows, including ''Boon'', and two Jim Davidson sitcoms. Wendy Alison van der Plank is an English actress best known for playing the title role in the ITV (TV network), ITV children's series ''Wizadora''. Terry Downes, BEM (9 May 1936 – 6 October 2017) was a British middleweight boxer, occasional film actor, and businessman. He was nicknamed the "Paddington Express" for his aggressive fighting style. Victor Maddern
Victor Jack Maddern (16 March 1928 – 22 June 1993) was an English actor. He was described by ''The Telegraph'' as having "one of the most distinctive and eloquent faces in post-war British cinema." John Kershaw (writer)
John Hugh d'Allenger Kershaw (2 August 1931- 2 December 1993) was a British screenwriter and script editor. He edited the entire first season of the television program Bergerac, and contributed to others including The Bill and Armchair Theatre. Biography Kershaw was the only son- there being also a daughter- of Leslie Walter Kershaw (1904-1979), a confectionery shop proprietor of King's Lynn, Norfolk, formerly of Thanet, Kent, and of Lincolnshire (where the Kershaw family were established as blacksmiths), and his first wife Mabel (1908-1969), daughter of Frederick d'Allenger, a soldier who died whilst posted in Malta.
