The Best Bang!!
''The Best Bang!!'' (stylized as THE BEST BANG!!) is Japanese rock singer-songwriter Masaharu Fukuyama's fourth compilation album, released on November 17, 2010. The compilation was an all-time greatest hits album, featuring Fukuyama's songs from both his time with record labels BMG Japan and Universal Music Japan. The album was released in other Asian territories in March and April 2011. The album was re-released in Japan in April with an added disc, titled the ''Asia Limited Bang!!'' version, featuring '' With Special Guests: Fukuyama Masaharu Remake'', a tribute album performed by South Korean musicians, sung in Korean. The tribute album was also released separately in territories outside Japan. Background and development The compilation is a collection to celebrate Fukuyama's 20th anniversary since his debut as a musician in 1990. Masaharu Fukuyama
is a Japanese singer-songwriter and actor from Nagasaki. He debuted in 1990 with the single "Tsuioku no Ame no Naka". Fukuyama is represented by the agency Amuse, Inc. Career While he can also be seen in Japanese television dramas, Fukuyama is best known for his singing career. His 1992 breakout single "Good night" gained a wide audience because of its tie-in with the TV drama ''Ai wo Douda''. In 1993, he made his first appearance in ''Kōhaku Uta Gassen'', on which only successful J-pop and ''enka'' artists are invited to perform. The was a record chart that ranks the best selling digital singles in Japan, with data provided by the Recording Industry Association of Japan from April 2009. The chart measures cellphone downloads (着うたフル ''Chaku-Uta Full'') (not downloads from PCs, or ringtones (着うた ''Chaku-Uta'')). On July 27, 2012, the service that tracked the charts was shut down. History The RIAJ originally started certifying digital downloads in August 2006. At the same time, they began posting a monthly chart called the (officially the ).
