The Belly Of The Sea
''The Belly of the Sea'' ( ca, El ventre del mar) is a 2021 Spanish drama film directed and written by Agustí Villaronga, based on the novel ''Ocean Sea'' by Italian writer Alessandro Baricco. It was shot in black and white and stars Roger Casamajor and Òscar Kapoya. Plot In June, 1816, the French frigate Alliance runs aground off the coast of Senegal. Without enough boats for everyone, a raft is built to tow 147 men to shore. But panic and confusion seize the convoy and cut the tow rope, abandoning the raft to its fate. Hunger, madness and a fierce fight break out on that drifting raft. Savigny, a ruthless medical officer, and Thomas, a rebellious private sailor, face each other with a different attitude to survive. A horror that lasted for days and days. A scene where the greatest of cruelties and the sweetest of pieties were shown. Agustí Villaronga
Agustí Villaronga Riutort (; 4 March 1953 – 22 January 2023) was a Spanish film director, screenwriter and actor. He directed several feature films, a documentary, three projects for television and three shorts. His film '' Moon Child'' was entered into the 1989 Cannes Film Festival. In 2011 he won the Goya Award for Best Director for ''Black Bread''. The Catalan-language film was selected as the Spanish entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards, but it did not make the final shortlist. Life and career Agustí Villaronga was born on 4 March 1953 in Palma, his grandparents had been itinerant puppeteers and his father was a child of the Spanish Civil War, a fact that would resurface repeatedly in the director's filmography. Since childhood, his father encouraged his love for films and from early in his life he wanted to become a film director. He worked as an actor and made some shorts. 3/24 () is a Spanish Catalan-language free-to-air news and information network operated by Televisió de Catalunya (TVC). It was launched on 11 September 2003. History 3/24 was born on 11 September 2003 as an initiative of the Catalan public television to develop digital terrestrial television in Catalonia. However, a general lack of DVB-T set top boxes combined with slight public interest towards digital terrestrial television prompted TVC to simulcast in analogue. From its launch on 11 September 2003 until 12 June 2004, 3/24 was on air daily from 11p.m. till 8:30a.m.. The channel now operates as a regular full-time channel. Contents 3/24 devotes exclusively to live news and information, including news, traffic (morning), sports and stock markets from Bolsa de Barcelona. The 14th Gaudí Awards, organised by the Catalan Film Academy, will be presented at the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya, MNAC's Oval Room in Barcelona on 6 March 2022. History The nominations were read by Francesc Orella and María Molins at Casa Milà, La Pedrera's auditorium on 25 January 2022. ''Outlaws (2021 film), Outlaws'' grossed the highest number of nominations, 13. Only one film (''Mironins'') was nominated in the animation category, thus securing the award. Enric Cambray was tasked with the direction of the gala, whereas was charged with the production. In addition to the regular awards, 8 films were nominated to the Public's Choice Special Award for Best Film, and cinematographer was revealed as the recipient of the honorary Gaudí award.
