Giulio Calì (26 March 1895 – 20 January 1967) was an Italian film actor. He appeared in more than 60 films between 1927 and 1966. Life and career Born in Rome, Calì started his career on stage, being mainly active in Roman dialect theater and in avanspettacolo. He made his film debut in 1927, in Umberto Paradisi's ''Un balilla del '48'', but his career ultimately started after the Second World War, when he was cast in a good number of films of different genres and quality, even if usually playing very minor roles. Calì is probably best known for his association with director Alberto Lattuada, who gave him his first significant roles, namely Smarazzacucco in ''The Mill on the Po'' (1949) and the sailor in ''The Overcoat'' (1952). Other notable directors with whom Calì worked include Steno, Mario Monicelli, Alessandro Blasetti, Mario Mattoli, Luigi Zampa and Luigi Comencini. Gigi Reder (born Luigi Schroeder; 25 March 1928 – 8 October 1998) was an Italian actor and voice actor. He was best known for the role of Filini in the ''Fantozzi'' film series. Biography Born in Naples in to a German father and a Neapolitan mother, Reder moved to Rome where started his career in radio as host and actor of radio-dramas. He also debuted on stage in " teatro dialettale" and vaudeville, then performed in the stage companies of Peppino De Filippo, Turi Ferro, Giorgio Albertazzi and Mario Scaccia. Reder made his film debut in the early 1950s, but became popular in the 1970s as the sidekick of Paolo Villaggio in some successful comedies, such as the ''Fantozzi'' and ''Fracchia'' series. Maria Bice Valori (13 May 1927 – 17 March 1980) was an Italian actress, comedian and television and radio personality. Life and career Born in Rome, Valori studied at the Silvio d’Amico Academy of Dramatic Arts, graduating in 1948. The same year, she entered the stage company of the Piccolo Teatro of Rome directed by Orazio Costa. After playing in several classics, Valori specialized as a comedic actress, and had her main successes in the musical theatre genre, notably appearing in ''Rugantino'' and ''Aggiungi un posto a tavola''. In films, she was a very active character actress, mainly cast in humorous roles.
