The Ark (Duke University)
The Ark is a building on the East Campus of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. It serves as an instructional and rehearsal studio for the Duke Dance Program. Built in 1898 as Angier B. Duke Gymnasium, The Ark became the first home for the Duke Blue Devils men's basketball team, then known as Trinity College, in 1906. The team moved after the 1923 season, upon the completion of Alumni Memorial Gymnasium. The Ark's current name is derived from the narrow walkway that was originally used to reach the building, forcing people to enter "two-by-two". History Angier B. Duke University

Duke Blue Devils Men's Basketball
The Duke Blue Devils men's basketball team represents Duke University in NCAA Division I college basketball and competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The team is fourth all-time in wins of any NCAA men's basketball program, and is currently coached by Jon Scheyer. Duke has won 5 NCAA Championships (tied with Indiana for fourth all-time behind UCLA, Kentucky, and North Carolina) and appeared in 11 Championship Games (third all-time) and 17 Final Fours (Tied for third all-time with Kentucky and only behind North Carolina and UCLA). Benjamin Newton Duke
Benjamin Newton Duke (April 25, 1855 – January 8, 1929) was an American tobacco, textile and energy industrialist and philanthropist. He served as vice-president at American Tobacco Company, being also founder of Duke Energy. Life and career He was the son of industrialist Washington Duke and his second wife Artelia Roney. His older half-brother was Brodie Leonidas Duke (1846–1919) and his full brother was James Buchanan Duke (1856–1925). On February 21, 1875, Benjamin Duke married Sarah Pearson Angier, with whom he had a daughter, Mary Lillian Duke, and a son, Angier Buchanan Duke. Portraits of all four members of the family were commissioned from the Spanish painter Joaquín Sorolla in 1911. Angier Buchanan Duke
Angier Buchanan Duke (December 8, 1884 – September 3, 1923) was a trustee of Duke University from 1914–1923, as well as vice president and president of its Alumni Association. Early life Duke was born on December 8, 1884, in Durham, North Carolina. He was the only son of Sarah Pearson ( née Angier) Duke (1856–1936) and Benjamin Newton Duke, and an heir to the American Tobacco Company fortune. He was the brother of Mary Lillian Duke (who married his wife's brother, Anthony Joseph Drexel Biddle Jr.), and first cousin to the flamboyant heiress Doris Duke. Wake Forest Demon Deacons Men's Basketball
The Wake Forest Demon Deacons men's basketball team represents Wake Forest University in NCAA Division I college basketball and competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Wake Forest made the Final Four in 1962 and through the years, the program has produced many NBA players.
