The Amityville Playhouse
''Amityville Playhouse'' (also known as ''The Amityville Theater'') is a 2015 horror film written and directed by John R. Walker, and co-written by Steve Hardy. It is the thirteenth film to be inspired by Jay Anson's 1977 novel ''The Amityville Horror''. Monèle LeStrat stars as Fawn Harriman, a recently orphaned Dannemora (village), New York, Dannemora high school student who inherits a mysterious abandoned theatre located in Amityville, New York. Plot Fawn Harriman, a Dannemora (village), New York, Dannemora high school student whose parents died a year ago, inherits the Roxy, an abandoned theatre located in Amityville, New York. Fawn visits the Roxy with her friend Indy, boyfriend Kyle, Kyle's bullied younger brother, Jevan, and Jevan's friend Matt while one of her teachers, Victor Stewart, looks into the history of the theatre, as well as Amityville. Gary Martin (actor)
Gary David Grant (born 18 June 1958), known professionally as Gary Martin, is a British actor who has been in the acting industry since the early 1980s. His first recorded acting credit is as a chauffeur in the television series '' Nobody's Perfect''. He has since gone on to perform in over 60 roles, either as a voice actor or actor. Martin is well known for his vocal range, and has recorded voiceovers for multiple American and British commercials and film trailers. Amityville () is a village near the Town of Babylon in Suffolk County, on the South Shore of Long Island, in New York. The population was 9,523 at the 2010 census. History Huntington settlers first visited the Amityville area in 1653 due to its location to a source of salt hay for use as animal fodder. Chief Wyandanch granted the first deed to land in Amityville in 1658. The area was originally called ''Huntington West Neck South'' (it is on the Great South Bay and Suffolk County, New York border in the southwest corner of what once called Huntington South), but is now the Town of Babylon. According to village lore, the name was changed in 1846 when residents were working to establish its new post office. The meeting turned into bedlam and one participant was to exclaim, "What this meeting needs is some amity".
