The Alter Boys
The Alter Boys is an American rock supergroup from Cleveland, Ohio. The band includes members of the bands Dog Fashion Disco, Polkadot Cadaver, Unified Culture, Mudfoot, Original Pranksta, Venomin James, and Mushroomhead. Also featured in the band was Ryan Dunn of the stunt show ''Jackass''. They play in various musical styles and released their first album, ''The Exotic Sounds of the Alter Boys'', in March 2005. They were signed to the Fractured Transmitter record label. However, in late February 2009, they were removed from the Fractured Transmitter site. Rotten Records re-released ''The Exotic Sounds of the Alter Boys'' in January 2009. Though they never broke up, Todd Smith has since stated that The Alter Boys are "dead". Todd Smith (musician)
Todd Smith is an American vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist who most notably fronts the band Dog Fashion Disco. He is currently involved with the bands Polkadot Cadaver, Knives Out!, Beyond Paranoid, and his solo project El-Creepo!. Background Smith was the lead singer and songwriter for the multi-genre metal band Dog Fashion Disco from 1996 until 2007, and continued in this role when the band reformed in 2011 until the present day. Smith contributed vocal and guitar work to the 2005 album The Exotic Sounds of the Alter Boys by the Ohio-based band The Alter Boys. On February 18, 2007, Smith started a musical project called Polkadot Cadaver, announced shortly after the break-up of Dog Fashion Disco. Funk Rock Musical Groups
Funk is a music genre that originated in African American communities in the mid-1960s when musicians created a rhythmic, danceable new form of music through a mixture of various music genres that were popular among African Americans in the mid-20th century. Jason Popson
Jason Jonathan Popson (born November 2, 1971) is an American vocalist and rapper for metal band Mushroomhead taking the stage name J Mann. Prior to his initial departure from the band he was identified by his face paint, which was based on the film ''Dead Presidents''. Since 2014, he has worn a mask like the rest of the band. Biography Popson left Mushroomhead in mid-2004 due to being overworked and his father's terminal illness. Though it was previously confirmed that Popson would be featured on Mushroomhead's new studio album '' Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children'', it was revealed in an interview with Mushroomhead's lead singer Jeffrey Nothing that he would no longer be on the album. It originally aired for three short seasons on MTV between October 2000 and August 2001, with reruns extending into 2002. Ryan Dunn
Ryan Matthew Dunn (June 11, 1977 – June 20, 2011) was an American stunt performer, television personality, actor and comedian. He was best known as one of the stars of the MTV reality stunt show '' Jackass'' and its film franchise. Born in Medina, Ohio, Dunn rose to fame in the late 1990s as a member of the CKY crew with his long-time friend Bam Margera, with whom he performed extreme stunts and pranks and recorded them on video, which led to the rise of ''Jackass''. He also hosted the TV series ''Homewrecker'' and ''Proving Ground'', and he appeared in the feature films ''Blonde Ambition'' and '' Street Dreams'' as well as in Margera's films ''Haggard'' and ''Minghags''. A supergroup is a musical group whose members are successful as solo artists or as members of other successful groups.
