The Advocates (TV Series)
''The Advocates'' was a Scottish legal drama, broadcast on ITV (TV network), ITV, that ran for two series between 2 April 1991 and 23 March 1992. The series starred Ewan Stewart and Isla Blair as the main protagonists, Greg McDowell and Katherine Dunbar. The first series was released on DVD on 12 April 2010. The second series was released on 20 September. A complete box set was released by Go, Entertain on 23 September 2013. Crime Drama
Crime films, in the broadest sense, is a film genre inspired by and analogous to the crime fiction literary genre. Films of this genre generally involve various aspects of crime and its detection. Stylistically, the genre may overlap and combine with many other genres, such as Drama (film and television), drama or gangster film, but also include Comedy film, comedy, and, in turn, is divided into many sub-genres, such as Mystery film, mystery, suspense or Film noir, noir. Screenwriter and scholar Eric R. Williams identified crime film as one of eleven super-genres in his Screenwriters Taxonomy, claiming that all feature-length Narrative film, narrative films can be classified by these super-genres. Clive Russell
Clive Russell (born 7 December 1945) is a Scottish actor. He is known for his roles as Chief Inspector Frederick Abberline in ''Ripper Street'', Angus O'Connor in ''Happiness'' and Brynden Tully in the HBO series ''Game of Thrones''. He also appeared in the Scottish sitcoms '' Still Game'' and ''Rab C Nesbitt'', teen drama ''Hollyoaks'' as Jack Osborne's brother Billy Brodie and British crime drama '' Cracker'' as Danny Fitzgerald. Siobhan Redmond, ( ; born 27 July 1959) is a Scottish actress, a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company, and known for various stage, audio and television roles. Early life Siobhan Redmond was born on 27 July 1959 in the Tollcross area of Glasgow as the second-eldest of three children to Charlotte Redmond, a drama teacher, and John Redmond, a university lecturer. She attended the Sunshine School of Dance and Park School for Girls in Glasgow's West End. Redmond studied at the University of St Andrews, where she earned a Master of Arts in English. At St Andrews University, she has said to have been 'discovered' by playwright Liz Lochhead while performing in a student Mermaids society production written by Marcella Evaristi.
