The Adult Legion
"The Adult Legion" is a story arc that was published by DC Comics, and presented in ''Adventure Comics'' #354-355 (March–April 1967). It was written by Jim Shooter, pencilled by Curt Swan and inked by George Klein. The story arc features one of Superman's encounters with the Legion of Super-Heroes as adults, and foreshadows several plot twists which occur in the years that follow. The story arc includes the first reference to Brin Londo as Timber Wolf, and the first references to Chemical King, Reflecto and Shadow Lass (who appears as Shadow Woman). Plot Superman is contacted by the Legion of Super-Heroes, the 30th century team which he joined years earlier as Superboy. Upon reaching Legion Headquarters (now much larger than before), he walks through a hall of huge commemorative statues honoring deceased Legionnaires, including Ferro Lad, Chemical King, Reflecto and Shadow Woman. Saturn Girl (Imra Ardeen) is a fictional superheroine appearing in American DC comic books. A talented telepath from the 30th century, Saturn Girl is a founding member of the Legion of Super-Heroes. Imra's "Saturn Girl" title refers to her homeworld of Titan, the largest moon of the planet Saturn. There have been three versions of Imra since her original debut, separated by the events of both the '' Zero Hour'' and ''Infinite Crisis'' limited series. Dream Girl (Nura Nal) is a superhero appearing in books published by DC Comics. Gim Allon, also known as Colossal Boy, Leviathan, and Micro Lad, is a fictional character, fictional comic book superhero appearing in books published by DC Comics. Polar Boy is a fictional character from the 30th century of the DC Universe, initially suggested by reader Buddy Lavigne of Northbrook, Illinois in the letters page of '' Adventure Comics'' #304, from January 1963. He was the first of several characters in this era who were created based on reader suggestions. Fictional character biography Brek Bannin grew up on the planet Tharr which is considered one of the hottest inhabited planets in the galaxy. Bannin's family lives in the hottest valley of the planet where the inhabitants developed the power to create super cold, snow and ice as a way to combat the persistent heat.
