Abel Salazar (actor)
Abel Salazar García (24 September 1917 – 21 October 1995) was a Mexican actor, producer and director. He appeared in 70 films between 1941 and 1989. He was a son of ''Don'' García and his wife, and brother to ''Don'' Alfredo Salazar. Personal life After marriages to Alicia Cárdenas and Gloria Marín, he married, lastly, Rosita Arenas, who had been briefly married to Spanish actor Jaime de Mora y Aragón. Salazar and Arenas had a daughter, Rosa Salazar Arenas, a Mexican actress and screenwriter. and is a writer of the Mexican Spanish-language soap opera ''Llena de amor'' (English title: ''Fill me with love''), produced by Televisa, that began airing in 2010. She co-authored ''Rituales Para El Amor, La Belleza y La Prosperidad'' (1998), with Pita Ojeda. He died of respiratory failure and Alzheimer's disease in 1995. Carmen Montejo (born María Teresa Sánchez González; May 26, 1925 – February 25, 2013) was a Cuban actress. Biography Real name: María Teresa Sánchez González. Montejo started her career in radio as a child at the age of 6 in Cuba in a show titled ''Abuelita Cata'' transmitted on CMOX. While still in Cuba, she was nicknamed "Muñeca" Sánchez in theatre and because of her golden curls as the Cuban Shirley Temple. She began acting studies in 1939 at Universidad de La Habana under Ludwing Shayovich. After concluding her college studies, her parents offered her a trip to the United States, but instead she chose to go to Mexico for two months. Mexico has submitted films for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film since 1957. The award is handed out annually by the United States Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to a feature-length motion picture produced outside the United States that contains primarily non-English dialogue. This is a list of submissions to the 40th Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film. The Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film was created in 1956 by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to honour non-English-speaking films produced outside the United States. The award is handed out annually, and is accepted by the winning film's director, although it is considered an award for the submitting country as a whole. Countries are invited by the Academy to submit their best films for competition according to strict rules, with only one film being accepted from each country.
