''The Adamant Girl'' (Tamil: ''Kottukkaali'') is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by P. S. Vinothraj. The film is produced by Sivakarthikeyan and Kalai Arasu under the SK Productions banner. The film starring Soori and Anna Ben, revolves around Meena, who loves a man from a lower caste but her family thinks she is possessed and the spell is cast out of her. The film was selected in the Forum section at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival to be held from 15 to 25 February 2024. P. S. Vinothraj (born 18 June 1988) is a Tamil film director and screenwriter. He wrote and directed the critically-acclaimed Tamil film, '' Pebbles'' (''Koozhangal'') which is also his debut film. ''Pebbles'' was screened at the 50th International Film Festival Rotterdam held in Netherlands on 4 February 2021, where it received the Tiger Award at the festival. It is the second Indian film to win this prestigious award. It was selected as the Indian entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 94th Academy Awards, but was not nominated. Sivakarthikeyan (born 17 February 1985), also referred to as SK, is an Indian actor, singer, film producer, lyricist, and television presenter, who works predominantly in Tamil films. Ramalakshmanan Muthuchamy, professionally known as Soori, is an Indian actor and comedian who predominantly appears in Tamil film industry. Career Soori moved from Madurai to Chennai in 1996 with the intention of becoming an actor in the Tamil film industry. After failing to get any roles, he took up work in the city as a cleaner to fund his acting ambitions. Anna Ben is an Indian actress who works in Malayalam cinema. The daughter of screenwriter Benny P. Nayarambalam, she made her acting debut with ''Kumbalangi Nights'' in 2019. Wrap, as used in the phrase "That's a wrap" has been used by directors since the early days of the film industry to signal the end of filming. Since the 1920s, filmmakers have been using this phrase when principal photography is concluded and the film is ready to go into post-production. At that point, it is traditional to hold a wrap party for the cast and crew of the film. This marks the end of the actors' collaboration with each other, the director, producer, and crew on the film (except for possible dubbing or pick-ups). However the leading cast members may be called in several months or years later to help promote the film when it is ready to be released. The term "wrap" is sometimes said to be an acronym for "Wind, Reel and Print", although this is disputed.
