Chilaw
Chilaw ( si, හලාවත, translit=Halāvata, ta, சிலாபம், translit=Cilāpam) is a large town in Puttalam District, North Western Province, Sri Lanka. It is governed by an urban council. The town is located 80 kilometres away from Colombo via Negombo. Etymology The name Chilaw derives its name from its Tamil name ''Cilāpam'', meaning pearl fishery. Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cathedral The seat of the Chilaw Diocese, this cathedral has a history of more than two centuries. According to legend, 200 years ago, most of what is now Chilaw Town was covered by a forest. A woman was searching for firewood and heard the sound of a lady speaking, "Please take me". 2015 ICC Europe Division One
The 2015 ICC Europe Division One was a cricket tournament held in Jersey from 9–13 May 2015. The tournament was organised by ICC Europe, and featured the top six associate members in that region – Denmark, France, Guernsey, Italy, Jersey, and Norway. Ireland, the Netherlands, and Scotland had already qualified for the World Twenty20 Qualifier, while England qualify for the World Twenty20 automatically. The host, Jersey, won the tournament on net run rate from Denmark, its first title. The leading runscorer at the tournament was Danish batsman Freddie Klokker, while the leading wicket taker was Italian bowler Carl Sandri. By winning the tournament, Jersey qualified for the 2015 World Twenty20 Qualifier in Ireland and Scotland. Alessandro Bonora (born 24 May 1978) is a former Italian people, Italian cricketer. Life and cricket career Bonora was born at Bordighera in Liguria region, but grew up in South Africa, where he was educated in Cape Town. While playing club cricket in Cape Town under the captaincy of the Dutch cricketer Roland Lefebvre, Bonora was put in contact with the Italian Cricket Federation, who arranged for him to play for Lazio Cricket Club. Craig George Williams (born 25 February 1984) is a Namibian cricketer. He also currently runs a cricket shop in Namibia and also works as a quality/quantity surveyor writing reports for insurance companies as well as loss adjusting. He also opened a cricket academy in Windhoek which is also eventually regarded as Namibia's first state of the art indoor training facility. Biography He was born in South West Africa in 1984 and grew up in Pretoria, South Africa. He moved to his native country Namibia at the age of 23. Run out is a method of dismissal in cricket, governed by Law 38 of the Laws of Cricket. A run out usually occurs when the batsmen are attempting to run between the wickets, and the fielding team succeed in getting the ball to one wicket before a batsman has crossed the crease line near the wicket. The incomplete run the batsmen were attempting does not count.
