Thanasis Dimopoulos
Thanasis Dimopoulos ( el, Θανάσης Δημόπουλος; born 21 April 1963) is a retired Greek football striker. Alongside his brothers Christos Dimopoulos and Spyros he holds the world record for the highest number of siblings scoring on the same day, on 2 February 1992 in the Greek first division. Career He started his career from Ifaistos Vounargou, a fifth-division club scoring 34 goals in the 1980-81 season. His performances impressed the league's champions Aias Gastouni who signed Dimopoulos for 1 million drachmas, a record for the division at the time. During his first season in the fourth division scored 25 goals helping his team finish 5th in the third group.Despite PAOK's interest where his brother Christos was playing, Panathinaikos signed him in the summer of 1982. Vasilis Hatzipanagis
Vasilis Hatzipanagis ( el, link=no, Βασίλης Χατζηπαναγής, , born 26 October 1954) is a Greek former professional footballer. He played for Iraklis in the Greek Alpha Ethniki and Pakhtakor in the Soviet Supreme League. He also played for Greece and the Soviet Union side. Hatzipanagis has been described as "the Greek Maradona". Career Pakhtakor Hatzipanagis was born in 1954 in Tashkent (capital city of Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic), to Greek political refugees. He was scouted by Pakhtakor. They wanted to invest in this raw, yet refined player, but the law was strict: he had to apply for Soviet citizenship to be eligible for the Soviet top flight. 1984–85 European Cup
The 1984–85 season of the European Cup club football tournament was overshadowed by the Heysel Stadium disaster that happened prior to the final match. That edition was won for the first time by Juventus in a 1–0 win against defending champions Liverpool. At sporting level, with this result they became the first club to have won all three major European trophies (European Cup/UEFA Champions League, UEFA Cup/UEFA Europa League, and the Cup Winners' Cup), as well ''a posteriori'' as the one that needed the shortest amount of time to complete this (8 years). Following the disaster, English clubs received a five-year ban from entering any European competition, thus ending a period of great success for English clubs in the European Cup which had seen three clubs winning seven finals since 1977, including six successive finals up to 1982. Tscheu La Ling (Chinese: 林球立; pinyin: ''Lín Qiú Lì''; born 6 January 1956) is a Dutch former professional footballer of mixed Dutch and Chinese descent, who played for clubs in the Netherlands, Greece and France. Giannis Kyrastas
Giannis Kyrastas ( el, Γιάννης Κυράστας; 25 October 1952 – 1 April 2004) was a Greek footballer and football manager. Club career Born in Piraeus, Kyrastas started his football career in Olympiacos, where he played his first game on 10 December 1972 against Kavala. With Olympiacos he played 223 games, 16 of them in European competitions, and won five Greek Championships and three Greek Cups. In 1981, he went, together with Mike Galakos, to archrival Panathinaikos, where he played in 145 games, 14 of them in European competitions, and won two Greek Championships and three Greek Cups. Juan Ramón Rocha (born 8 March 1954) is an Argentine professional football manager and former player, who is the current manager of Greek Super League 2 club Thesprotos. Mike Galakos
Ilias "Maik" Galakos ( el, Μάικ Γαλάκος) is a Greek former professional footballer who played as a striker and was active during the 1970s and 1980s. Galakos was born on 23 November 1951 in Kalogreza, Greece and his family emigrated to Germany where he first played football for Fortuna Düsseldorf (1972–1973). He returned to Greece and played for Olympiacos from 1973 to 1981 before signing with Panathinaikos. Galakos played for the greens between 1981 and 1985. Ștefan Kovács ( ro, Ştefan Covaci; hu, Kovács István; 2 October 1920 – 12 May 1995) was a Romanian football player and coach. By winning 15 major titles he is one of the most successful association football coaches in the history of the game.
