Than Win
Than Win ( my, သန်းဝင်း) is a Burmese obstetrician, gynaecologist and politician. He served as a member of Amyotha Hluttaw until his removal on 1 February 2021, following the military coup. He was a chairman of international relations committee of the Amyotha Hluttaw and a former rector of University of Medicine, Mandalay. Early life and education Than Win was born to Than Tun, a rector of agricultural institute, and Mya Sein on 2 February 1953 at Mandalay. He went to Basic Education High School No. 9 Mandalay, and passed the matriculation examination with distinction in five subjects, the whole Burma top 7 in 1969. He enrolled at the University of Medicine Mandalay and graduated with the degree in MBBS in 1976. He completed his first master's degree in the field of obstetrics and gynecology (OG). House Of Nationalities
The Amyotha Hluttaw ( my, အမျိုးသားလွှတ်တော်, ; House of Nationalities) is the ''de jure'' upper house of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, the bicameral legislature of Myanmar (Burma). It consists of 224 members, of whom 168 are directly elected and 56 appointed by the Myanmar Armed Forces. The last elections to the Amyotha Hluttaw were held in November 2015. At its second meeting on 3 February 2016, Mahn Win Khaing Than and Aye Thar Aung were elected Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Amyotha Hluttaw and Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw as a whole. After the 2021 Myanmar coup d'état, coup d'état on 1 February 2021, the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw was dissolved by Acting President of Myanmar, President Myint Swe, who declared a one-year state of emergency and transferred all legislative powers to Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Min Aung Hlaing. Aungmyethazan Township
Aungmyethazan Township (also Aungmyethasan Township; my, အောင်မြေသာစံ မြို့နယ် ) is the northernmost (and city centre core) township of Mandalay, Myanmar. The township is bounded by the Ayeyarwady river in the west, Patheingyi Township in the east, Chanayethazan Township in the south. Patheingyi Township
Patheingyi Township ( my, ပုသိမ်ကြီးမြို့နယ်, ) is located in the eastern part of Mandalay, Myanmar. The township is bounded by Aungmyethazan Township and Chanayethazan Township in the west. Incorporated into the Mandalay city's limits, Patheingyi represents the eastward march of Mandalay's urban sprawl.
