Pensiri Laosirikul ( th, เพ็ญศิริ เหล่าศิริกุล, born January 17, 1984, in Nakhon Si Thammarat) is a Thai weightlifting athlete, and is of Chinese descent. She is 4'9" (144 cm) tall and weighs 47.67 kg. She competed in the 2008 Olympic Games, in Beijing, winning a bronze medal. At the 2007 World Championships in Chiang Mai, she took 2nd place in the clean and jerk (112 kg), 3rd place overall (195 kg) and 7th place in the snatch (83 kg). Athletics At The 2008 Summer Olympics – Women's 100 Metres
The Women's 100 metres at the 2008 Summer Olympics took place on August 16 (heats) and 17 (final) at the Beijing National Stadium. The qualifying standards for the 2008 event were 11.32 s (A standard) and 11.42 s (B standard). Jamaica dominated the event with athlete Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce taking the gold and Sherone Simpson and Kerron Stewart taking the silver. Officially, no bronze medal was awarded as Simpson and Stewart finished with an equal time of 10.98 seconds in the second place. Taking all three medals, it was a Jamaican sweep. The men's 4 × 100 metre relay event at the 2008 Olympic Games took place on 21 and 22 August at the Beijing National Stadium. There were 16 NOCs competing at this event. These 16 NOCs were selected by the average of the two best marks at the qualifying period. Australia was 14th but withdrew and the Netherlands was invited instead. Wachara Sondee
Wachara Sondee (born 9 April 1983) is a Thai track and field athlete who competes in sprinting events. He primarily competes in the 100 metres and 60 metres and is the Thai national record holder for the shorter distance with his best of 6.65 seconds. He has won medals indoors at three straight editions of the Asian Indoor Games and was the silver medallist over 60 m at the 2006 Asian Indoor Athletics Championships. His highest level achievements came at the 2006 Asian Games, where he was a 100 m medallist and won the 4×100 m relay title with Thailand.
