Asian Football Confederation
The Asian Football Confederation is the governing body of association football, beach soccer, and futsal in some countries/territories in Asia and Oceania. It has 47 member countries most of which are located in Asia. Australia, formerly in Oceania Football Confederation, OFC, joined AFC in 2006. Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands, both Territories of the United States, territories of the United States, are also AFC members that are geographically in Oceania. The Asian Ladies Football Confederation (ALFC) was the section of AFC who managed women's association football in Asia. The group was independently founded in April 1968 in a meeting involving Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. In 1986 ALFC merged with AFC. 2018 Futsal Thailand League
The 2018 Futsal Thai League (also known as AIS Futsal Thai League for sponsorship reasons) was a top-tier professional futsal league under the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) and Advanced Info Service (AIS) It was the tenth edition of the league, with a total of 14 teams. The league began in April 2018 and finished in December 2018. Teams Promoted teams CAT Telecom Futsal Club and Northeastern University Futsal Club were promoted from the 2017 Thai Championship Futsal League by finishing in the first and second place, respectively. Relegated teams Nonthaburi Futsal Club and Nakhon Ratchasima V-One Futsal Club were relegated from the 2018 Thai Championship Futsal League by finishing in the last 2 places of the league. The 2016 Futsal Thailand League (also known as the AIS Futsal Thailand League for sponsorship reasons) is the top-tier professional Futsal league under Football Association of Thailand (FAT) and Advanced Info Service (AIS)'s control. This is the eighth season of the league, the top Thai professional Futsal league. A total of 14 teams are competing in the league. The season is going to begin in May 2016. Chonburi Blue Wave are the defending champions, having won the league title the previous season. Following the death of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the Football Association of Thailand ended the league after week 15.
