2009 Regional League Division 2 Southern Region ( th, ลีกภูมิภาค ภาคใต้ or ไทยลีกดิวิชัน 2 ภาคใต้) is the 3rd Level League in Thailand. The first season was played in 2009, starting in March and finishing in August. Nara United Football Club ( th, สโมสรฟุตบอลนรา ยูไนเต็ด) is a Thailand professional football club based in Narathiwat province. The club is currently playing in the Thai League 3 Southern region. The team lifted the league division 2 southern zone and Super Champion Cup title in 2009 and 2010 which became one of the most successful seasons in their history. Nara United was founded in 2010 and its rivalries are Satun United and Yala F.C. which also based in Thailand southern border. The team is widely known by their nickname ''The Kolek Boet warriors'' which can be seen in the club logo. 2009 Regional League Division 2 North Eastern Region
2009 Regional League Division 2 North Eastern Region ( th, ลีกภูมิภาค ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ or ไทยลีกดิวิชัน 2 ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ) is the 3rd Level League in Thailand. In 2009, contains 12 clubs from North Eastern region. The league winners qualify for the end of season Regional Championships with the other four league winners in the Regional setup. Ubon United FC withdrew from the league after playing 16 games, due to a dispute with the Thailand Football Association (FAT). All results were declared null and void. Ubon were also given a 2-year ban from competing. The league table was re-adjusted accordingly, after FAT previously thought about awarding 2-0 victories for the remaining games. Satun (, , ms, Setul) is a town (''thesaban mueang'') in southern Thailand, capital of the Satun Province. It covers the whole ''tambon'' Phiman of Mueang Satun. Satun lies 985 km south of Bangkok. Surakul Stadium
Surakul Stadium (; ) is a multi-purpose stadium in Phuket Province, Thailand. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 15,000 and was built in 1959. The stadium co-hosted the 2008 AFF Suzuki Cup. The use of the Surakul Stadium for this tournament had to be hastily arranged. Stadiums in Bangkok were intended to be used but because of the airport takeovers in Bangkok by the PAD the AFF in consultation with the FAT decided to switch venues. Despite better stadiums being available in Nakhon Ratchasima ( 5th December Stadium); Chiang Mai (700th Anniversary Stadium) and Songkhla (Tinsulanon Stadium); the Surakul Stadium was chosen as all the teams could fly directly into Phuket.
