Thaai Manasu
''Thaai Manasu'' () is a 1994 Tamil-language drama film directed by Kasthuri Raja. The film stars Saravanan, Suvarna Mathew, Babloo Prithiveeraj and Meera, with Vijayakumar, Manorama, Goundamani, Senthil and Karikalan playing supporting roles. It was released on 2 December 1994. Plot The film begins with Chinna Marudhu giving milk to end the sufferings of his mother Muthamma. In the past, Thangapandi was the village chief and was a follower of Mahatma Gandhi and he was married to Muthamma. They had two sons : Periya Marudhu and Chinna Marudhu. Chinna Marudhu and Annalakshmi were in love since their childhood while Periya Marudhu fell in love with Rasathi. The two young couples finally got married with their parents' blessings. Kasthuri Raja is an Indian film director. He is the father of director Selvaraghavan and actor Dhanush. He worked as an assistant director with Director K.S.G. Delhi Ganesh is an Indian actor who mostly acts in supporting roles in Tamil cinema and serials. He has acted in more than 400 films from 1976 to present. Before films, he was a member of the Delhi-based theatre troupe, ''Dakshina Bharata Nataka Sabha''. Ganesh served in the Indian Air Force from 1964 to 1974 before quitting in favour of films. ''The Indian Express'' is an English-language Indian daily newspaper founded in 1932. It is published in Mumbai by the Indian Express Group. In 1999, eight years after the group's founder Ramnath Goenka's death in 1991, the group was split between the family members. Nagoor Babu, known by his stage name Mano, is an Indian playback singer, voice-over artist, actor, producer, television anchor and composer. He is a recipient of several awards such as the Nandi Awards from the Government of Andhra Pradesh and Kalaimamani award from the Government of Tamil Nadu. Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a Malaysian-Indian playback singer and actor in Tamil cinema. Early life Malaysia Vasudevan's parents were from Palakkad. Chattu Nair of Ottappalam and Ammalu of Polpulli, along with their families migrated to British Malaya in search of a livelihood. After a few years, Chattu Nair married Ammalu in an arranged marriage. Vasudevan was born on 15 June 1944 as their eighth and youngest child. Even though he was a Malayali, as was the case with the majority of contemporary South Indian migrants to Malaya then, his surroundings in Malaysia was dominated by the Tamil language and culture. Theni Kunjarammal (died 18 April 2008) was an Indian actress and playback singer who has worked in the Tamil film industry. As a playback singer, she has worked extensively with A. R. Rahman during the late 1990s and early 2000s for folk songs, while also regularly collaborating with Harris Jayaraj. Career As an actress, Kunjarammal is best known for her roles as an old woman in a rural village, and made a breakthrough with her performance in ''Karuththamma'' (1994) as a woman who feeds insecticide to baby girls.
