Tezcatlipoca (DC Comics)
Tezcatlipoca is a name used by two distinct fictional characters appearing as supervillains in DC Comics publications and related media. The first Tezcatlipoca is a character based on the eponymous Aztec mythological figure, a powerful deity of conflict, nighttime and sorcery, who commonly appears as a recurring adversary of the superheroes Wonder Woman and Aztek. He debuted as a treacherous ally of Wonder Woman's foe Circe in 1984's ''Wonder Woman'' (vol. 1) #314 by writer Dan Mishkin and illustrator Don Heck, and went on to battle Wonder Woman several times as an independent agent. After ''Crisis on Infinite Earths'', the 1985 publication event that rebooted DC Comics' continuity, Tezcatlipoca was re-imagined by creative team Grant Morrison, Mark Millar and N. The New 52
The New 52 is the 2011 revamp and relaunch by DC Comics of its entire line of ongoing monthly superhero comic books. Following the conclusion of the " Flashpoint" crossover storyline, DC canceled all its existing titles and debuted 52 new series in September 2011. Among the renumbered series were ''Action Comics'' and '' Detective Comics'', which had retained their original numbering since the 1930s. The relaunch included changes to the publishing format; for example, print and digital comics began to be released on the same day. New titles were released to bring the number of ongoing monthly series to 52. Various changes were also made to DC's fictional universe to entice new readers, including changes to DC's internal continuity to make characters more modern and accessible. The leopard (''Panthera pardus'') is one of the five extant species in the genus '' Panthera'', a member of the cat family, Felidae. Connor Hawke is a fictional DC Comics superhero who operated as the second Green Arrow, created by Kelley Puckett and Jim Aparo. The Aztecs () were a Mesoamerican culture that flourished in central Mexico in the post-classic period from 1300 to 1521. Aztek is the name of a fictional superhero in the DC Universe. Both versions are based out of the fictional Vanity City. Aztek is the champion of the Aztec god Quetzalcoatl. Luis Eduardo Barreto Ferreyra (1954 – December 15, 2011) was a Uruguayan artist who worked in the comic book and comic strip industries including several years of prominent work for DC Comics. Charles Dixon (born April 14, 1954) is an American comic book writer, best known for his work on the Marvel Comics character the Punisher and on the DC Comics characters Batman, Nightwing, and Robin in the 1990s and early 2000s. Early life Dixon was born in West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Upper Darby, reading comics of all genres. He is a graduate of Upper Darby High School (1972).
