State Highway 321 (SH 321) is a north–south highway in southeastern Texas, starting at US 90 in Dayton and ending at Loop 573 in Cleveland. The route was designated on October 30, 1939. In Cleveland, SH 321 is also known as Houston Street, providing the main street for downtown Cleveland. It is a two lane urban highway with a left turn lane as it travels throughout Cleveland, until roughly 3/4 of a mile northeast of the city limit. From Loop 573, on southward until junction with SH 105, SH 321 is also known as SH 105. In the city of Dayton, it is referred to as North Cleveland Street, passing through residential Dayton as a 4-lane urban highway, before narrowing back down to a 2-lane rural State Highway. State Highway 105 (SH 105) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Texas that runs from Brenham, Texas, Brenham to the outskirts of Beaumont, Texas, Beaumont. The route was originally proposed in 1925 and took its current routing in 1984. Route description SH 105 begins as a pair of one-way roads at an intersection with Business U.S. Route 290 in downtown Brenham. It then progresses northeast out of Brenham through mainly farming lands. It passes near Washington-on-the-Brazos, Texas, which is the birthplace of Texas as the location of the signing of the Texas Declaration of Independence. Cleveland, Texas
Cleveland is a city in the U.S. state of Texas, within Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan area and Liberty County. The population was 7,471 at the 2020 census. History In 1854, a church and convent were built by Father Peter La Cour near the town's present site. The town began forming in 1878 when Charles Lander Cleveland, a local judge, donated of land to the Houston East & West Texas Railway (now part of the Union Pacific Railroad) for use as a stop, requesting that the town be named for him.
