Texas State Highway 308
State Highway 308 (SH 308) or College Avenue, runs from FM 60 (University Drive) in College Station north to Sulphur Springs Road in Bryan. It is one route from the Texas A&M University campus to the university's Hensel Park, a recreation facility for faculty, staff, and students of the university. Route description SH 308 begins at a junction with FM 60 (University Drive) and Bizzell Street in College Station. It follows College Avenue until it reaches its northern terminus at Sulphur Springs Road in Bryan. History SH 308 was designated on January 24, 1939, from the former SH 230 (now FM 60 in College Station) through the A&M campus along Spence Street to the former SH 307. State Highway 230 (Texas)
U.S. Highway 287 (US 287) in the U.S. state of Texas is a major U.S. Highway that begins on the Gulf Coast in Port Arthur and heads north through Fort Worth, northwest to Childress, Clarendon, Wichita Falls, and Amarillo in the Texas Panhandle and into Oklahoma near Kerrick. Route description US 287 begins at the intersection of Woodworth Boulevard and SH 87 in Port Arthur and runs northwest, running concurrent with US 69 and US 96. State Highway 307 (Texas)

SH 1 State Highway 1 ran from El Paso through Dallas to Texarkana. It was the first highway designated in 1917. In 1926, the United States Highway System was designated, with US 80 colocated from El Paso to Dallas and US 67 from Dallas to Texarkana.
