Texas Park Road 3A
Park Road 3 (PR 3) is a Park Road located near Fort Davis, in the U.S. state of Texas. The highway connects the Indian Lodge of Davis Mountains State Park to State Highway 118 (SH 118). The entire length of the road is located within the park. The highway was constructed in 1933 by the Civilian Conservation Corps and incorporated into the state highway system in 1937 as one of the system's original park roads. The highway currently has one suffixed route, Park Road 3A, also known as Skyline Drive. This route is long, which is longer than its parent route. The route was designated in 1965. Route description PR 3's main road begins at SH 118. Immediately after the intersection, PR 3 divides into two one-way roadways separated by the park headquarters and reuniting just beyond. Kent, Texas
Kent is an unincorporated community in Culberson County, Texas, United States. It lies just north of Interstate 10 at exit 176, west of the beginning of Interstate 20 and west of the Jeff Davis County line. It is sandwiched between the railroad, immediately to its north, and the Interstate. As of 2005, its population was estimated at 60 residents, with three small businesses, a general store, a service station, and a post office, as well as ruins of a public school and other businesses that flourished until the 1960s. As of 2014, only the general store remained in operation; the nearest service station is in Plateau, to the west along Interstate 10. Texas State Highway 166
State Highway 166 (SH 166) runs for from SH 118 near Nunn Hill in northern Jeff Davis County, Texas passing around a major portion of the Davis Mountains before ending at SH 17 about two miles south of Fort Davis. The highway is maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). The scenic highway was originally a longer loop around the mountain range and was envisioned in 1927 as a "state park highway" until an actual state park could be established in the area. Davis Mountains State Park
Davis Mountains State Park is a state park located in the Davis Mountains in Jeff Davis County, Texas. The closest town is Fort Davis, Texas. The park elevation is between above sea level.
